My airhawk saved my ass on my recent Alaska trip.
Eliminates dreading long days in the saddle by those of us with to boney of an ass.
My wing came with a custom heated corbin seat, but I think the stock seat on my previous wing was actually more comfortable.
Good Luck on your quest to find a used one.
Airhawk is the best! Worth the money.

Congratulations......enjoy the comfort and the ride!

Sounds to me like a "chunk" of tarnish has been dislodged and has accumulated somewhere along the fuel line.
Considering the age of the bike, last production year was 2000, carb jets are suspect as well.
I've had a similar experience with cleaners such as Seafoam on fuel injected systems as well and will use a weaker mix in the future.
Too strong and it clogs the injectors.
YMMV
Worth spending the time and money on in MHO.
Nothing quite like the comfort of a Gold Wing for touring.
I'll always' have one.

these guy's know it all....when it comes to goldwings

....iPhone wins for me.
Most users I know are now "die-hards" and say they'll never go to anything else.
Apple is in an enviable sweet spot for sure.

Obama will fix all board related problems once elected.
Will we get a check or an additional tax credit also?

I assumed the bracket for attaching upper end of shock was welded to the frame, not bolted. I understand now.
thanks, Jim

exactly how is this 6mm shim installed?
top at the seat or at the bottom.
I've looked at the exploded view but don't quite understand.
excuse my ignorance.

I've owned my 02 bird since May of '07. I've spent the last year trying to learn how to ride it, as it is my first "sport bike".
Added a Throttlemiester and change the tires to PR2"s, other than that, it's stock.
Wondering what mods other riders have made that in retrospect they think really improved performance and or handling.
Looks like many recommend the 6mm shim, that's pretty damn cheap!
thanks,
Jim

Nothing to report but kind words regarding the PR2's, you won't be disappointed.

My insurance is with progressive, towing is an add on....well worth it. Only used it once on my Goldwing in the middle of nowhere. Blew a rear tire while traveling on interstate 10....freaky.

By the time I'm done trying cheap fixes for the Strom seat
I had a 04 sixfity and loved it. Seat did suck. Bought an airhawk......
Sold the Vstrom....bought a Goldwing....long distance!!
One year later missed "sportbike". Never had taken Vstrom off road much, but it could scream for a sixfity.
About a month ago bought a bird. Holy shit, talk about acceleration.
Since the seat on the bird isn't the best in the world and since I had the airhawk.....little nicer on the toushe & jewels!!!!
Now my stable has a 02 bird and an 05 wing.
I'm leaving Monday for a 8 day trip to Colorado on the wing.
Short stuff 5 days tops= Blackbird
Long stuff or over 5 days= Goldwing
My oh my how that bird can fly!!!!!!
HELP! My Blackbird on gets 100 miles to a tank!

Hell, I had so much unburned fuel accumulate in the mufflers I would have flames coming out the exit pipe!
