My '01 is exhibiting the classic signs of the test connector failure. On several occasions I thought I'd found and fixed the problem by cleaning/repairing different stuff but the fault came back recently. I've also found conflicting into on where the test connector is and how many & what color wires it has so I can know for sure that I'm addressing the test connector and not something else. My understanding is that '01+ models have the test connector as well but that it was modified to be less fail prone. -?-
Don't hesitate to so the fix if you think it could be an issue. 30 mins is all it takes..or less.

Well, my idea is to get whomever is responsible to be the recipient of the text/e-mail alert so they can come in and reset the system rather than let it sit until Monday morning.
That is the person that needs to corridinate the fixing of this.
Concentrate on your day job.

So now you're going to respond to text alerts when the temp is too high/low in your office? Are you the new hvac guy?
Call someone. There are lots of guys in the south that do this for a living.
Even if it costs 2000 bucks to fix, the payback will be very quick on energy savings. It costs a ton to get an office frigid in the middle of the summer.

The trick there is to 'tin' each wire first. This just means getting each wire wet with solder first.
-
I used zip ties to hold the bundles. Then cut. Then stripped and soldered.. very easy

There are a couple of threads on it.
My only advice is take your battery out or you can fry your ecu.

The only way to learn anything is to start something you have never done before.
-
I can solder something up for you if you like. I have everything in the basement.

Looks good. Make sure that RR is sitting flush with that huge AL plate or it will not radiate any heat.

Grab a couple of LEDs and a few resistors. Most have a forward voltage of 1.5 - 2.8V depending on type.
Very easy to do.

I have found that in offices people just want it to work and really dont care about how much it costs. Just get someone to do it.

Could it be possible the needle just is slipping inside the base of the housing?

Should water sprouts be trimmed off?

I have Allen sockets, but couldn't source one long enough to reach. I was afraid to use the longer ball end type.
You should be afraid. They snap off.
Go to napa. For 10 bucks you could get a longer allen socket.

Take the cover off the existing air conditioner and have a look around. There is a drain on it.

You will strip the shit out of it with that tool. They flex way too much.Almost put a permanent twist in this trying to break the bolt loose.
Moving on to my homemade impact bit in the morning. I've got a feeling I'll be drilling it out before it's over.
I know a tool maker that will remove those from our shop floor because he ends up fixing all the damage those cause. Light duty only.
Get an Allen socket that looks like this.

You need to see your connection type and go buy a replacement of the same.
Most are 35W bulbs.
It could also be your igniter or ballast.

Where is the water going right now? It is just condensation on the cool pipe?
-
Well I'm across the US. Where are you moving to?

Wood heat would certainly dry the place out.

Does the 1997 model have a test loom?

Run the dehumidifier. To have over 50% RH in the winter is a ton of humidity.
