  1. 11) 96% of cancer victims eventually admit that they've eaten bread !

I remember reading somewhere that researchers couldn't track cancer in humans before the advent of enriched flour.

  2. My current routine.....

    1-2x a week...

    Squat machine

    Leg press

    Leg curl

    Calf raises

Various Ab workouts (ab machine, crunches, swiss ball, planks, roman chair)

    Back extension machine

Bench press (alt w/ dumbell flys)

    Trap machine

    Lat machine

    Tricep machine

    Military press (alt w/ dumbells)

    Curls (freeweight & dumbell)

    Shrugs/vert. cable pulls

    1-2x a week...

Les Mills Body Pump class (light-moderate weight lotsa reps.. about 130 reps per exercise. Lotsa pushups too)

Alternate the above (2 weight training sessions and 1 Body Pump class week 1, 2 Body Pump classes and 1 weight training session week 2.... repeat)

    Cardio...

Jog 2-3 x a week (about 2 miles a day.. would like to eventually get back up to 10k 2x a week)

Mountian bike 1-2hrs or MX 2-3 hrs a week on the weekend (about 80% of total time spent above anerobic threshold)

Just need to work on the diet. Between business travel, vendor lunches and general lack of willpower my diet goes from marginal to total suck.

  3. Actually there's no such thing as "DOT" law or regs for motorcycle tires, unless of course you are hauling freight for hire and stop at all ports and pay road use taxes.

Yes... it don't take much to plate a bike here in AZ. The headlight and tail light don't work and are only on there for fooling the PoPo whenever I ride from my house to the trails. Most PoPo around here won't even blink if they see a head light on what looks like a streetable bike, but boy if they see number plates, your ass is theirs.

Uh, last time I checked 49CFR 571.119 includes motorcycles manufactured after 1948....but OK.

  4. I'm confused. It's plated, but I see no signals or speedo or anything. How would that translate to registering it to other states?

It's an Arizona thing.. all you need is a headlight, tail light, 1 mirror and a horn and you are "street legal". If you're riding in the city you may get hassled for not having DOT tires but otherwise it's game on.

  5. You should be able to hide one of the smaller bottles in the tail section. It might require a bit of creative plastic tray rearrangement to do it.

I plan to hide mine under the gas tank where the airbox used to be.

Yeah, I always thought a set of sneaky petes would fit nice inside the tail cowl along the outside of the subframe.

  6. fuck it just buy new head light assemblies.

$50-$75 each and worth it too see at night.

If they were that cheap I would replace them too. But the wifeys Nissan headlight assemblies are $189 a piece (online) I may try the toothpaste thing as an option.

  7. There was a PC V, headers, and a really good tuner. The tuner had done a number of zx14s & showed us a few before-and-after maps (butterflies in then out) with the same increase up top. Some very minor sacrifice down low in the 2500 - 3500 rpms.

Ah, that makes more sense. I'd guess removing the flies had nothing to do with that extra 14 up top. That was the exhaust and the tune.

I am surprised that there was less power anywhere below 6k after removing the flies, but I'm far from a professional tuner.

I wonder if anyone has ever tried milling or shaving a set of flies... maybe 5% of the total surface area at a time with a dyno run in between. I betcha there is a sweet spot in there somewhere.
