  1. Since you state local pick up only, it might help to say where you are local to.

    Sorry you are 100% correct:

I live in Budd Lake, N.J. off of RT 46

    Morris County

About 20min-30min East of the Delaware Water Gap on RT 80.

If someone needs or want bad enough I will ship But, I have no idea how much that will be and it will just drive cost.

    Thanks for point that out:

  2. Ok my fellow riders I am changing my pad on my XX for the first time on any bike. I am not a wrencher and I do not hink that I can go as far as to removal of the pistons and clean/lube and put back in. Before I reset(push) the pistons back in can I use over the counter barke cleaner?? I read the back and it said to be careful on plastic and rubber. Isn't the seal made out of rubber or did I just answer my own question.

    thanks in advance.

  3. Thanks guys after a clear head and washing my new baby I came to my crazy conclusion!!

It appears that I mounted the front tire on backwards by just looking at the bike after washing her I noticed the rim Mags(spokes) where facing a different direction from front to back and since you can't screw up the back the front has to be re-mounted and then new brakes. Boy what a PITA to save some $$ but I chaulk it up as a lesson

  4. OK now call me crazy. I just got done taling the wheel off again and switching the longer Collar(spacer) to the throttle side and no way the none throttle side rotor hits the fork. So i put it back the way i had it and the space between the rotor are dead equal space apart from the fork tubes

I also switch the pad around in the fron since the left one was total worn down and now the front wheel does not spin as freely.

I reset the piston on the master cyclinder on the one that need space. Put the front tire back on. I then turn the wheel and it moved very well. then I grabed the front brake and there was no pressure until i pumped it. Then the front tie would not turn as freely and the front brake wheer spongy at best.

I think I should just break down and buy new pads and re-bleed the untire brake system.

    Any thoughts. thanks again.

  5. The longer front wheel spacer is on your right side as you sit on your bike.

I got my pads from ronayers.com. It's EBC FA261HH and fits front and rear:

OK Just checking to be really sure.

I have the larger front wheel spacer on the right side if you look at the bike straight in front of the bike. It should go on the left??? I drove the bike about 100miles and did not feel any different?? I hope I did not screw things up. If I have to flip it back around I guess It would be a good time to change the pads??? Please confirm.

  6. Red thaks for the reply I think that I am more intune after wrenching on my bike or how can I say more conected:)

As far as the pivet caliper (sp) as describe can I just go out and buy one brake pad or is it advised to change all?

    Again thanks

  7. OK Guys let me just start I am not a wrencher.

A friend of mine just changed my tire on my bird. When I took off the front wheel I notice(Looking strat at the bike) that the right brake pad is warn to very almostr being shot while all the other pad look 50%better. Looks fishy to me.

Also no after a test drive I notice more noise coming from the rotors, pads and clue.

    Little noise

Then when brakes applied then relesed more noise then goes away.

The if I turn the wheel while slow speed a little noise.

When i got back the rotors didn't seem hotter than normal.

Oh the large spacer goes on the right if looking at thre bike straight on? Just checking:)

    Thanks

  8. Thanks. I am having pangs but would like the new Concours so I can stop wearing a backpack during my commute. I also want to be able to ride earlier and later in the season with better wind protection.

Ah just get a Givi set up for the Bird. My good friend has the new C14 and really says it puts out ALOT of heat. Something to look into:)

  9. OK my fellow rider I am trying to install a Vista Cruise Control on my XX. I followed the instructions per this site with shaving down the ring around the throttle and drilling a hole and putting a screw into the switch housing.

The problem is that the Vista cruise will not stay engaged. I thought I adjusted it correctly with play in the throttle and it locks the thottle for a minute then just pops back. I did not put a hand grip on the throttle housing yet. I want to make sure this thing works. thanks in advance.

    Any thoughts?

I don't want to say to myself you get what you pay for.

  10. I keep reading this as somebody selling Germans. Why the fuck would I want to buy Germans?

I raised my forks when I lowered the back and went high with the stock bars, when I raised the forks. I really don't think I need spacers(Gen mars) after some miles A-OK).

Sorry for the high jack and just to note i have had Gen Mars in the past and the fit and finish on them are great.

  11. I have them in stock for $36.00 delivered in the States or $44.00 International

OK, now is this the problem and any directions?

Also can I ride it for awhile with this being the issue?

  12. OK guys I am trying to figure this out so please be gentle:) I jus got a XX and it rattles as stated at exactly 3,500-4,000.

Is it very bad to run the bike like this if it is the CCT?

Also can anyone point be to the forum that has a detailed install on the part. I jsut did a full tune up on the bike so the bike and I are getting to know one another. Oh i am not very mecahnically incline.

Should I just get rid of the bike. I bought the bike planning and I say planning of not putting too much money in it from the get go if you know what i mean.

Thank you very much in advance.
