  1. Oil line kit for Garret T25 -T28 -GT25 -GT28 turbos. Includes oil gallery adaptor, feed line, oil flow restrictor, turbo drain adaptor and sump adaptor.
  2. Here are some pic's of the hot side of my system. My veiw on changing to another bike is this , is the cost of buying the new bike plus preping it cost affective? compared to tuning the one you have. To me personaly, the building is as much fun as the ride , more so maybe !!!! The challenge to me would be making my bike as quick as the rest. At the end of the day the man with the deepest pockets ( with a little skill) will go the fastest , so with that in mind it's the taking part thats important and being as good as you can be. A personal best is my greatest reward.
  3. Just had a guy turn up at my workshop, saw me on P12 last Saturday and liked my swingarm and now wants me to do one for his Bandit 1200. Result!!!!
  4. I call her my "resson" the resson I look forward to a dry day , the resson I spend hours making bits in my workshop , the resson my bank is empty, the resson I have a massive smile on my face when I've been for a ride. lol
  5. This is what P12 normally looks like. built for the twisty bits and the straight bits in between. 3 and a half year of blood and spanners.
  6. As fast as the money l have and parts l can make will let me go.
  7. I'm also looking into making a bolt on kit using Busa forks Thanks for the numbers on the different forks. If you make a bolt on kit I believe you might be my hero. So far its delink the bird install better forks put turbo on hold the fuck on. As I said I'm working on it. should be ready some time in the new year. Well after a bit of reading on the net it looks like I have to make a decision. If I want to run P12 in the UK straightliners I'll have to put the stock front end back on. Or I put her back to being my road bike and spend a bunch more cash and get Project T finished in time to race next year . First round is Santa Pod 18th March. The choice of classes I can see my running in are, 9.1 Class Riders in 9.1 class are allowed to run any of the following: Nitrous/ Turbo. Locked up suspension. Airshifters / Slickshifters Non-working lights (but they must be fitted) Racing exhaust with silencer. (Must comply with current noise limit)DUMP PIPES MUST GO INTO SILENCER ON TURBO BIKES Non-standard swingarm. Tie Downs Standard frame. Wheelbase must not exceed 68" or 1730mm Bikes to retain standard appearance Nitrous bikes to reduce the un-burnt fuel exploding on gear changes, loud bangs on gear shifts will result in the bike not being allowed to run at that event until the noise is re-duced to a level deemed acceptable by the clerk of the course. Ignition cut out lanyards must be fitted and working on all bikes running nitrous or turbo. Full leathers must be worn along with leather boots, gloves and an ACU approved hel-met with a visible 2 ringed gold sticker. 10.1 Class No Turbo / Nitrous (unless the turbo is standard for that bike e.g. Kawasaki GPZ 750 turbo). Standard frame and forks. Working lights and horn. Non-standard swingarms (eg long) are allowed. Roadside pump petrol only. If a bike is designed to have shock absorbers fitted then they must be fitted and in good working order. Machines must be fitted with a silencer and must not exceed 101dB Air shifters and quickshifters Tie Downs are allowed Leather boots, gloves, one piece or two piece zip together leathers, ACU approved helmet with a visible 2 ringed gold sticker must be worn. (Full leathers are highly recom-mended)
  8. P12 ( the bike I was racing at the weekend ) has VTR SP1 forks and the new turbo drag bike has Fireblade RRY forks. Measured from the top flat of the top cap to the centra of the wheel spindle. Stock Blackbird forks are 773mm SP1 forks. 756.5mm top yoke dia. 49.95mm bottom yoke dia 53.95mm 929- 954 blade fork. 715mm top yoke dia. 49.95mm bottom yoke dia 53.95mm I'm also looking into making a bolt on kit using Busa forks
  9. Monday night in the workshop. Going to have a big push at getting Blue T finished. When she is finished she will be up for sale so if anyone fancies the first VelocityShack Turbo Blackbird off the line PM me. She will be totally stealth apart from the aftermarket cans, She runs very quiet at town speeds and the only give away is the little woosh noise from the dump valve. Unfortunatly she has to go to finance my new drag bike and as much as I would love to keep her, 3 tuned Blackbirds is greedy.
  10. Problem is this track is not a full time strip and the surface is not good, as you can see for the you tube clip wheel spin off the line was a hugh problem.
  11. Well now i'm going to have to save for a good tyre, get the bike lower , shed a load of weight off the bike, turn up the rev limiter and get my launch times down. Wait a minute !!!!!!!!!!! I think I may just be hooked LOL
  12. Best 60' 2.156 , best ET 11.615 , best trap MPH 123.6 . Didn't loses a race all day . No grip off the line . Just spun in First and into second , track was very greasy , had rev limiter set to 10k and head wind all day. a bit of Operator error. P12 never missed a beat all day and there is much more there when I'm ready for it.............. Not to bad for a first shake down. Most fun I've had on my bike in ages.
  13. P12 is all loaded and ready to go again ............. I say again because I had her loaded once then had a call from a Mate saying he was in Hospital having just binned his CB1300 in a wet ditch. 2 hour laterly CB1300 safely in my workshop he's resting well at home battered but not broken.
  14. Unfortunately it’s the only tyre I have with any tread on it. The whole plan for tomorrow is just to go out and have some fun , if I run 12's all-day and come home with the me and P12 in one piece that will be fine with me. I've not been down a strip on a bike in a long time and Saturday is all about shake down, for me as much for the bike. This is the last event of the year so if all goes well I will be looking to run a full season next year as well as getting along to some of the mile racing events. I'm very keen to join the "measured Mile 200mph club" before I get to old and don't have the ball to do it.
  15. P12 gets an extra 6" for the weekend. Just got the join the chain and put the plastics back on. 1/4 miles here we come ... PS. to the gods of racing .... please please done let it rain please please, I'll be good I promise. PPS.. I also change the gearing to 16/46.....................
  16. Nothing hughly exciting yestuday , Filter for the turbo arrived.
  17. Couple of pic's of the carbon dummy tank I made , this will sit over a half gallon alloy tank that will sit in front of the plenum. P12's clutch is all done and back together, just got to put plactics back on tonight. Looking at a rethink on Blue T's intercooler , at the moment air follow runs South to north straight up from the turbo , under the steeringhead and straight into the plenum. great for packageing, but I need to be clear in my mind that the air to air heat tranfer will be enough to get the charge temp down.
  18. Got a little done to day , spent sometime with the tig welder and going though my spare parts store.
  19. Thanks for the support. I can't wait to see people out there posting up pics of there bikes with my bits on them. Cheers G
  20. A few pics of the turbo bits in development
  21. I can do the arms in 2" to 10" to order. The Turbo kits for the Fi will be available in 2-3 weeks. You can also follow what I'm up to on this thread. http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry866611
  22. Ok !! where to start? First I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the people out there in the Blackbird world that have encouraged me and have believed in what I try to do and have become good enough friends to tell me when what I am doing is"A" good, "B" could be better or "C" CRAP!!!! You know who you are and again I say thanks . Funds are painfully tight so I have an agreement with the company I currently work for to use a corner of one of their workshops and work on my own stuff out of hours. I have registered the Domain names VelocityShack.com and VelocityShack.co.uk and will be putting up a website as soon as I can get my head around that kind of thing. Note: I would just like to point out that the name†VelocityShack†is not affiliated , involved with , associated to or other way connected to any other company or body using the word Velocity in their name. The plan so far as I have planned it, is this. 1. Get P12 sorted of next Saturday ( Drag racing) at http://www.dragndrift.co.uk/info.php 2. Get Blue T finished , tested and sold 3. Finish Project T, my own drag bike and get out on it next summer and prove to the world the bits I make work. 4. Work with a couple of other people on the forum to get produces out there, some of which are; · Full Brembo brake kits · Drag swing arms · Turbo kits Fi and Carbie · Chain and sprocket kits · Brake and oil lines sets A lot of this thread will be about the running and evolving of Project 1200 ,the finishing of Blue T and the building of Project T To start things off here are some pics of how things stand day (12/11/2011) So if people are interested let me know and I’ll keep you posted Cheers G
  23. Not a problem, it's a little of colum A and a little of colum B, Yes it is aimed at the drag or stretched and lowered market. A lot of what I do is out of a labor of love but as was pointed out to me a lot of what I do has a market. I have recently been developing a bolt on turbo kit for the Fi bikes and i'm extending the development into the Carbie models. I have sold a number of the Brembo kits I made and have help a number of BB owner to mod their bikes.
  24. Devon is a lot closer than Fort Lauderdale, Florida is ! Can't argue with that LOL I really must get my ass up there next year. hopefully have my turbo Bird finished by then. Ha ha it does sound funny hearing Poms talk about how far places are One of the guys on the local Perth WA forums did a similar distance (Perth-Geraldton and back) as a day trip not long ago and the missus has been up to Gero to visit her sister for a weekend I may have been born a pom, but I grow up in NZ and have spent a far amount of time in OZ too. As a kid in Auckland my family wouldn't think twice about driving 150-200 k's to visit freinds or go to the beach for the day. In the UK its not the distance thats the problem it's the time it take to get anywhere because of the volume of traffic. I did a 500mile round trip for work a few weeks ago it took just short of 20 hour thats an average road speed of only 25 mph. At one point on the M6 we did not move for an hour and a half, 3 lanes of motorway solid as far as the eye could see.
