  1. I used to get 200 a tank regularly on my '02 XX. That was running at about 80 to 85 mph (indicated). Spent the better part of a day running at about 100 indicated (heading out west) and those tanks were in the 160 to 170 mile range. Stock gearing.

Are the tanks on the carb'd Birds smaller? On my '98 I'm usually filling up evey 145-150 miles. When I had my '02, I don't remember how much I'd get out of tank but I remember it was no way near 200 mi. But most of my mileage was commuting. 90mph hwy and backroads where I'd rev it up a lot.

YES, carb birds have a one gallon smaller tank than the FI birds.

You couldn't have put this up the end of last season? Or the end of this season?

    Damn, Damn, Damn.

    Nice bike.

Jen, I have one in my gayaage... needs a little plastic work, but runs great.

PM me if you're really interested.

PMed. And you ARE a total poacher!

Don't worry Eddy, I'm not in a position to take yours anyway. :icon_neutral:

    We could barter :icon_evilgrin:

Hey, that was MY plan!!! :icon_evilgrin:

    Great minds think a like!

  4. Susie rides the hell of out this thing, too.

You realize that if you sell it, you no longer have the 929 as a spare track bike, right? :icon_biggrin:

We just talked about that last night. It takes me like 5 minutes to adjust the suspension for her to me. :icon_biggrin:

She just loves the more power of the 929. (good girl!)

Funny, she is getting nostalgic about this bike. So maybe we will keep them both if we don't get a offer close to the asking price.

  5. BT016s look to be the 014's replacement.

    Clicky

I ran the 014s on the 600 last year and had no problems at my modest pace at the track- for the price, those 016s are looking pretty good right now. $100 less for the set than DCIIIs I was planning on buying.

Thanks for the heads up, Eddy.

Unhandled exception propogated to BasePage's Page_Error catch.

Clicky no worky but it sounds about right.

Talk about pissed, I just bought a set of Pirelli DCIII's for $320.00!
