  1. I pulled the Penske off today and put the stocker back on. I looked it over and didn't see anything obvious. The swingarm bearings were fine too. I figure I should just send it off for a rebuild.

Trackside suspension Are the people I use. Quality work for a fair price.

Tell them I sent you and it won't make a bit of difference. They do great work for everyone.

They use the stuff too. Scotty Ryan and his wife Meghan are fast people along with Meghan's Dad Mark Stiles.

  2. You should take a scale with you to RacerXX IV and have all the participants use that scale for the final weigh in.

Good luck to all you guys. :icon_dance:

We thought of that, but everyone's start weight is on their home scale so we are doing the honor system thing.

NOW...if everyone doesn't care if the final scale is 1-2 pounds one way or the other we can do it that way.

How about everyone bring their personal scale?

  3. I got sick of the canyon dancer messing up my grips. I went with soft loops around the forks just above the lower triple tree. I also use a Baxley or condor chock to help stabilize the bike.

I have a friend who's BMW K1200RS had a bar bend from a canyon dancer.

  4. Bills for daughters wedding are coming due...........03 with only 2,300 miles. Yes she's mint......

Yosh Carbon Fiber cans, ZG DB Dark Smoke Screen (stocker too), Fender eliminator, Hugger. VFR clip on's and a few more goodies I can't remember at the moment.

$6,900. Not a bad price for a new bike with some goodies...............

    Sell the daughter!!!!

    Keep the bike! :icon_twisted:

  5. -1 on track days. I went there and every other bike was a rashed up piece of crap. Then one guy T-boned another. Both of them went to the hospital and both bikes were junk.

Your medical insurance may not cover racing. Your life insurance may not cover racing. Your bike insurance will not cover racing. You, your life, your family, and your bike may all be at risk.

Mike, I think you have a reasonable but un-informed view.

Track days are considered skill enhancement. They are very controlled but accidents happen everywhere. EMT's are right on it and it is very rare that anyone is so injured they never ride again or die.

I am very surprised to see you take this safety position after we were at Deal's Gap. Your front was so shagged, I'm amazed you road that back to NY. I would not have left town with a tire that way but I'm sure it didn't look that when you left NY.

This just goes to show, everyone has a different view of safe/unsafe. To each his own.
