I have had good luck with this Redline water wetter

You should take a scale with you to RacerXX IV and have all the participants use that scale for the final weigh in.
Good luck to all you guys.
We thought of that, but everyone's start weight is on their home scale so we are doing the honor system thing.
NOW...if everyone doesn't care if the final scale is 1-2 pounds one way or the other we can do it that way.
How about everyone bring their personal scale?

I was over at Wetzel's today and this looks like an aftermarket ignition piece.
The scary part is the red gasket sealant on the head gasket.

Great write up Stan, love the rubber gloves.
Jeff you want some?
-
perfect, simply perfect.
what you going to do with the bad one?
I don't know there was some one asking about it. Im going to need to take the covers and starter off of the bad one to put on the new one.
That would be Byrdman Jeff. He is in Chicago area.

Just for comparison
crank 300
rod 100
bearings 120
gaskets 100
Labor 500 min.
Well, considering used motors of suspect history are 700+, Stan is sounding like a better way to go. Spend a few hundred more with him and have a fresh motor vs a used ?.
And yes Mike this is THE MAN!
-
I give ya $50 credit on bike transport for it.
-
Just re-read this thread. Great read.
I wish I could afford to Have Stan build me an XX motor.
Stan, how are you fixed for gloves? let me know if ya need more.

I see....... very good, very nice.
So I'll see you next year at OzarXX on a FZ1 then, right, GOOD then, I'll see you and the Mrs.'s there, Great.
Yeah, what he said.
Nice job on racking up some miles, she looks good still.

Since your getting out of project bikes, how much for the lift table?
-
There is a time I would have jumped all over this.
But now it would cost me too many crack... er track days.

Dutch get a bike yet, Angee???
No, we're not in a position to buy the 14.

I got sick of the canyon dancer messing up my grips. I went with soft loops around the forks just above the lower triple tree. I also use a Baxley or condor chock to help stabilize the bike.
I have a friend who's BMW K1200RS had a bar bend from a canyon dancer.

I'm helping a friend straighten out a beater bird he just got. The bird is a 97. I think all years mount up but the early years had the R/R mounted on the left.
Anybody got anything please let me know.
Thanks

I agree. I'll offer $500 since it is in the slow yellow color.
LMAO...Even though my name is Redd...yellow is where it is at!
I gotta say it is VERY SEXY in yellow.
Wish I could put the chips together to make you a reasonable offer.
But alas I spent all my money on booze and bikes the rest I just wasted.

Go in slow - come out fast.
That's the same advice Hobi gave me when I was preparing to meet Shotsfired...
That, right there, is funny!!!!
Let me add the books I've read (not insurance).Sport Riding Techniques by Nick Ienatsch is my favorite.
Total Control by Lee Parks is good.
Twist of the Wrist but I not a fan of Keith Code mostly because I find him annoying.
+1 all good reads that helped me (I think)

-1 on track days. I went there and every other bike was a rashed up piece of crap. Then one guy T-boned another. Both of them went to the hospital and both bikes were junk.
Your medical insurance may not cover racing. Your life insurance may not cover racing. Your bike insurance will not cover racing. You, your life, your family, and your bike may all be at risk.
Mike, I think you have a reasonable but un-informed view.
Track days are considered skill enhancement. They are very controlled but accidents happen everywhere. EMT's are right on it and it is very rare that anyone is so injured they never ride again or die.
I am very surprised to see you take this safety position after we were at Deal's Gap. Your front was so shagged, I'm amazed you road that back to NY. I would not have left town with a tire that way but I'm sure it didn't look that when you left NY.
This just goes to show, everyone has a different view of safe/unsafe. To each his own.

Trackside suspension Are the people I use. Quality work for a fair price.
Tell them I sent you and it won't make a bit of difference. They do great work for everyone.
They use the stuff too. Scotty Ryan and his wife Meghan are fast people along with Meghan's Dad Mark Stiles.
