  1. has a dyna 2000 ignition system, we dont know what was done to the crank just that it was prepped by fallicon

Glad to see my baby is in good hands a little about the bike, has a 61mm large frame turbo, 3 core air to air intercooler, je pistons, carillo rods, falcon crank, big head studs, lockup clutch.. i ran the bike at 10/20lbs boost with premium gas, made 400hp no problem. the problems started when i cracked 3rd gear and sent my bike to a shop to fix the transmission, the bike was never the same... after tearing through it and finding loose wires for the fuel pump. and a few boost leaks i thought i found my problem but turns out i was wrong it was only making 16lbs so i turned it up a little thinking the guy played with the boost controller still 16lbs on the way back home to check for leaks i got a real nasty squeek noise.. then on the way to a friends house the bike locked up on the highway

    Carillo rods, falcon crank.. dont know about the oil setup Same as me. How many hours on the motor. What was you doing. Well different than you normally do. Waht I am saying if it was good for a while and nothing was any different in the way she was being rode,,just don't add up. I am wondering what else it could be. Running down the highway, steady state, 4k rpm 70 mph what else could do what you have. I would think it would be pretty hard to lock up a bearing without breaking the rod and holing the case. And you would have to loose oil pressure. Now had you been making some hard runs just before and hurt a bearing and not heard the knock. Shit I stacked the second one and it still ran. I am thinking piston.. I don't think you could fill the cylinder with gas at speed even if the injector took a shit. I heard the noise a day before a faint squeek, took it home checked the oil everything seemed fine. i headed upstate to take it to my friends house to have him check out what could be causing that squeek. I rode up 55-65mph steady speed just incase something went wrong. the bike started to squeek but this time it jerked on me and i started losing power, as i was on the exit ramp it locked up again so i just shut the bike and coasted to the service rode. towed it to my friends house started it up in neutral squeeked again then locked up after that wont even crank forgot to add its carb

    Will Shift Has Oil didnt check it yet turbo is fine (just rebuilt) the guy that built the motor told me that if the feed is not in the right postion this is what happens and I had a guy do the trans that I later found out had no clue what he was doing I wanted the bike 100% to sell it in the spring :icon_wall:

    That sounds like a fun day! Did the turbo cause this? I just hope you determined the root problem before rebuilding and then having the same issue. No this wasn't from the turbo, the problem stemmed from when i had the transmission done..the bird has oil feed tubes that spray on the bearings if they are not correctly placed you seize a bearing (this is what im told)

    You sure its not hydraulic lock? If one of the cylinders fills with fuel you'll have the same symptom. Have you pulled the plugs and tried again? No, It locked up when i was on the highway. starting hearing a loud squeek noise followed by the back tire locking up.
  13. Looking for a mechanic that wants a winter project, my bike locked up and now wont start, cant even turn the engine with a breaker bar. Im pretty sure its a seized bearing. the bike is at my friends house in MA (Springfield) I live in NY I can transport the bike anywhere in between :icon_wall:
  14. So i was riding with friends and I hit a pothole that caused my rear tire to smash into my license plate causing it to completely crack the back half of my bike I need to replace this back piece if anyone has it its a camera phone pic sorry for the bad quality

Found the problem! one of two things the power for the fuel pump was just resting on the contact, and the oil feed for the turbo was put on wrong causing it to kink from the plastic. took it to the highway and she boosted almost S*** myself one other problem, i get a loud clicking in every gear (sprockets are fine) chain is fine BTW thank you all for the tips! hopefully i can return the favor one day
  17. not sure the proper term but the two rubber pieces that are on the end of the tank that slide into the frame
  18. His is running up to 27psi of boost on c16 gas, (read in another post) Dont think there's any chance of the motor being stock. Compression check is in order, along with the other's on the long list of things to do/check. Motor is fine has everything je pistons carillo rods.. ect 35lbs C16 Ordered new fuel pump, fuel filter. going to do a oil change new oil filter, check the intercooler for leaks double check the waste gate and all hoses Ill let you know what i find
  19. Come to think of it, I did notice that when i got it back it had the same scratched oil filter when i brought it up, oil is still clean though.. How would i test the bearings the impeller spins fine? the turbo was rebuilt by a garrett certified company according to the website..
  20. thats what im thinking, or the fuel pump isnt rising? sorry this post is all over the place i just finished tearing the whole bike apart only thing i found was the plenum was a little higher on one side and it was rubbing the fuel tank but didnt seem to be off the boot.. turbo did spin fine a few weeks ago now it slowly progressed into not even boosting
  21. gets to 12lbs wont go over that Well that works for carbed....Something tells me it ain't carbed,,is it? I am thinking Fuel pressure regulator again, Getting borring I know. Is it adjustable? or Mr turbo? Its carbed, has two stage boost controler. Custom built kit

Texas is a little far for me but if you were closer i would Here is more of the story, I blew the turbo in November it still made boost but poor boost, brought it to a mechanic "Beaker" not his real name but he looks like him... He had the turbo rebuilt "$600" at D&W Diesel for a impeller and bearing??? when i drove it home it was pulling good at 9lbs, then i tryed 20lb and it ran like s*** didnt even pull... now it doesnt make boost at 9lb im thinking it could be the fuel pump is just on its last leg?
  23. Dont have a wideband, I wouldnt know what to do with the info from it its fairly easy to understand how it works.... get a wideband kit, (sensor & AFR guage) 1. Install sensor in exhaust pipe, after the turbo 2. Mount gauge on dash, run necessary wiring to sensor 3. It will give you a reading with the bike running, all you do it shoot for 12.5-13.5 on the AFR gauge (throughout the rpm range w/ boost) 4. If you get a number that is lower than 11.5 it is rich 5. If you get a number that is higher than 14.0 it is lean 6. Adjust you jetting accordingly, until you get as close as you can That is what the shop is going to do, why not do it yourself & save some dough ? **other tid bits During engine warmup 12.5 -11.5 After warmup at idle 13.5 - 12.8 Part throttle or cruising speed 14.0 - 13.0 WFO 12.8 - 12.5 Generally speaking the engine will make the most HP at 12.0-12.5 Might have to give this a try since all the dyno shops are giving me the run around
