  1. stiffer front = more weight on the rear to + a dubiuos Contiforce = i don't wonder! Its a general rule that if you improve the front, you have to do the same at the rear.... Go buy a rear spring, imho.
  2. your welcome! now i'm back to wheelying
  3. Hi friends!!!! No it was not the BAS, twas the cable and soldering of the engine interrupter on the right bar. Honda has no replacemnt in stock (whole right kit has to be exchanged), so now im riding with the bad interruptor ---interrupted hehehe Thanks to all!
  4. sorry for you Suf, shit happens... A very good friend just bought a CBR1000RR last month... Now its stolen...
  5. thanks guys! I had to search the forum for 'BAS' hehe, no problem. Can i open it and make it work again or is it rubbish now?
  6. Hi all, last sunday i did my biggest wheelie so far, and for quite a long distance (for me...) 1st gear all the way, maybe 50 meters keeping the front wheel realy high, i landed softly (that was cool! lol) But at that moment the bike just died. Lights, horn, all, worked, but not the engine... After a minute, bike was back alive Woooooo! Riding back home i went thru some nasty mountain roads, up and down, fast, and then.... dead again, and this time it would not relive... Had to call assistence... The bike is at the shop now... but they have no time to look at it until friday. Anyone has a clue? THANKS!!!
  7. these are the Set 1's. I got the better Set 2. Anyway, good quality, after many miles still like new. Mine got real carbon fiber heel protectors. You will need some too. If you scratch your stock pegs often, i can only recommend these. BTW, i'm tall, but no negative on the confort side, nor any vibrations. (remember, teh Hnda pegs have rubber, these not.) http://www.valtermoto.com/sito%20inglese/enghome.htm
  8. i should get the titanium sliders... hehehe BTW, the Powers carcass is very bland. They also say no 'real' rubber' is used in the formula... Some shots of the Powers: http://erixweb.iespana.es/erixweb/pilotpower.htm And the trackday (i'm the 'blackbirded' one  . Susana is my wife  http://erixweb.iespana.es/erixweb/albacete.htm
  9. LOL, that would be an excellent and easy business!
  10. After the track: these tyres are amazing. i did some 1.54's at Albacete togehter with CBR900 and GSXR1000's. I had only one 'huge moment' opening the gas in the middle of a flip flop and the rear just slided nicely left and right and back to place....! So no comparison to basic Pilot Sports, which are considered 'picky' when sliding. With the higher silencers, higher pegs, and these tyres, i never ever enjoyed a track day as much! Many veterans said they had never seen a Blackbird on track at that speed and angles heheheheh I went with a new pair of Alpinestars kneesliders and they are wasted! Pressure used: 2.2 rear and front. A guy with a ZXR636 was also very satisfied with theses Power tyres. Today i'll put back the Avon 45/46'ers and save the Michelins for the next trackday. (Photos coming)
  11. Looking forward to test that 50º leaning angle on sunday :-)))) Will inform you about this new one. So far, they stick like glue to your fingers!
  12. thanks so far for the brilliant answers! Looks like the 45-46 still need some track tests... I cannot use slicks (i have to ride to the track) and teh M1, etc are not that much different. Using 010-020, and Diablos, orSupercorsas, i already scrapped my pegs (i use no feelers) and silencers. Now i have race pegs and higher mounted race cans... So i WILL go faster heeheheh BTW, hehe, the rubber balls on the tyres appear easily, no pun intended! I also got excited the first time i saw them :-) Tomek, i'm dying to try the Pilot Powers. Tomorrow i will look for some, or the Pilot Race maybe.... It's true: if on track it's worth the extra cash to make it a save and astonishing day! see you
  13. Hi XX'ers Recently i put a pair of 45/46 on the bird. Street use good so far. Next weekend i'm atending a trackday, and as my level has improved much ( ) since last time i was at this track (Albacete, former WSBK host) i'm a little worried about the tyres. I will really be out to hunt down any bike on track  I could get another set for track use only if the 45/46 are a bad choice. Any experiences? BTW, i was about to buy a pair of Bridgestone SBK slicks, but when i told the official Bridgstone Spain Race Department guy i was traveling 2 hours from my home to the track on that tyres, he said a taxative DON'T!
  14. i have 75.00 km on the counter and never needed it. I did ask my mecanic, but he says no need.

    190 mph

las week i put a -1 sprocket on. Now the bike shows 320 kmh!! hehe not real of course. It accelerates much better, but i wonder what the real topspeed is incomparison to the stock sprocket top speed... definitively LESS?
  16. they chainged their brand name to 'KRIEGER'.. don't know if they have website, emails, whatever... But here in Spain they are the most popular national brand. Some pics at my new bigger photo website: http://erixweb.iespana.es/erixweb/mixx.htm
  17. i just put 'Harpoon' (spanish made) slip ons on. I got at least 5 HP in the mid-range. With stock sprockets i wheelie a LOt easier!!!! Thsi is a racing kit. I just don't open the gas past 50% in the city. Okay.

    190 mph

Sure, it's not the real speed, that's why i said 'measured with Honda OEM equipment' LOL! The XX speedometer, I mean! A friend of mine, who has a FI + powercommander + racing slipons + whatever = does 330 kmh or 205 mph.... thats bloody fast. (if i can believe him :!: )

    190 mph

Hohohoh! Finally made a topspeed test with the new racing slipons (everything else is stock, Honda filter, no jetting, no sprocket modding,...carb'ed 98 XX- the fast titanium one -). Also got new clutch plates. The bike got past 300 kmh, up to 305 kmh!* Thats 189,50 mph more or less! (and i'm a slightly heavy guy, go figure) Just for fun, what else is needed to join the 200 mph Club? Just kidding... * Speed measurements with OEM Honda equipment
  20. What are the problems that arrive with such high milage? Are you doing revisions more frecuently? Oli consumption higher?... What did you see inside the engine (if you/they had to open it) ? Congrats!!!
  21. yeaaahhhhh! LOL... You too, mate!
  22. damn, as i told all my friends and so, it seams geocities is blocking the page because of 'high intensity traffic' omfg.....
  23. Since last week i got a pair of Oval Aluminium slipons ('Thunder' ) 1) ground clearance improveded (the conection pipes are 1 inch longer, and the 'touch point' to ground is also 1 inch higher :-) 2) Power. Stock filters and carbs: i wheelie without wanting to!!! (just a little, but hey! Definitively more than before.) 3) Sound... louder... deeper, nicer ....in residential areas i will moderate myself  A pic (sorry for the shitty quality of the creative webcam go): http://www.geocities.com/erixweb/images/xxthunders.jpg Sound (only up to 7000 rpm, too many people walking their dogs): http://www.geocities.com/traduccioneseurop...pa/Image011.wav
