  1. Ok, pictures:

Fender is good, has some rub marks back at the mounting points (can't see those when mounted) and one rub/scuff at the front, which I believe happened when someone had the bike in a pickup box. The fender wraps around the front enough that it will rub if you're not careful.

I tried to take pictures of the rub, but its hard to do. You either can't see it with no flash, or with flash it pops out and looks 10X worse than it really is:

  2. Not sure whether its worth selling. I'd like to get something for it, but likely no one here is in need.

Entire front end: forks, triples, calipers, master cylinder, linked brake plumbing, rotors, wheel, fender. Small scuff on fender on very front. A few scrapes from changing tires on the front wheel.

This stuff is coming from a bike that has never been dropped.

Any interest? I can post pics etc if someone wants to see them.

  3. Don't consider them sold just YET....when he mails you a bag of Cheese Curd in exchange for the bars you may re-think your position. :icon_biggrin::icon_biggrin::icon_biggrin:

Hell...he is probably mailing them to my house for pick up...in that case...they REALLY ARE STILL FOR SALE...just by ME now :icon_biggrin::icon_biggrin::icon_biggrin:

Oh, I see your pretty new here Hank. I was just kidding. Elliott is a friend of mine.

Watch out for the cheese though :icon_biggrin:

Its all good. I like cheese curds.

  4. I've always wanted to see one of these in person before I bought one. They look super comfy and I guess you could put just about whatever kind of 7/8 bars you would want on them. How was the vibration on the bar compared to a stock setup?

I guess I never noticed a difference, but I rode very little with the stock clip ons too. It is very comfy!

    Sale pending I think.

  5. Found this one. I'm pretty sure it's the one you're talking about.

Off of a '99 XX with 60K+ on the clock. Nothing wrong with the lines (other than age)...just decided to upgrade.

Confirm if this is what you need.

Anyone know what a fair price is for one used brake line?

Thanks Zero, but one is on the way already! Appreciate you taking the pic etc! The 99 must a bit different. My 97 didn't have that 'block" in it.

  6. Selling my LSL bar mount kit I bought from Spiegler. The handle bar is NOT included, but any 7/8 bar fits, even your ape hangers :)

Also included is a Spiegler clutch line for this kit.

Spiegler has two PN's for this, one for 97-98, one for 99+, not sure why this is. They claimed that the 97-98 kit did not need a longer clutch. I found this to be UNTRUE and had to order their clutch line. I think their 99+ comes with a clutch line.

I think, but do not know for certain, that what I have here should work with all years.

I know I paid $300 for the mount, and I think all of $100 for their pretty clutch line.

Pretty much like new. I never wrecked when it was on the bike :)

$175 plus shipping? Open to reasonable offers!

  7. Need a 2nd master cyl to caliper rear brake line.

    Got pics?

I replaced all my lines with braided stainless, but I'm not sure which line is which by looking in the box.

It's about 20" from end to end of the HOSE, not including the banjos. It has a pretty goofy looking end on it, with a wire with a 90 degree bend that comes off the caliper end banjo .

  8. When I added my LSL bars I had to get a longer clutch line but the brake line, throttle, and choke cables would JUST reach, although the routing was ugly to make it work.

Now I'm finishing my Busa front end swap and I built my own riser and adapter that added about another 1" rise and 1" pull back so I'm getting all new.

Venhill makes real nice looking hydraulic line kits for about 40 bucks a line, which is a great price, and it looks like Motion Pro can make all new cables for just over 100.

I am adding 5" to stock lengths.

  9. I'm finishing up my Busa front end transplant, and in the process bringing the bars to sportTOURING position. I need longer cables / wires /and hoses by about +5" over stock.

Does anyone know where to find these connectors? I'd rather not go the the cut, splice and solder route. A tidy 5" extendo-pig tail would be much cleaner.

  10. Looks like this thread is pretty dead now. I'm a P90X junkie. Starting my third rotation (slightly modified). Anyone else do P90X?

The wife bought it (we did P90 too) and she started out but didn't make it very far. I've used several of the individual work outs when I wanted to do some cardio to go with my lifting. Its a great system for fat loss and overall fitness.

P90X will also pack some muscle on if you keep things in the 8-10 rep zone. Not like heavy weight lifting will, but it does put muscle on if that's your goal. I lifted weights for many years back in the day, but haven't done it much for 10 years now.

The Legs and Back routine is just wicked. I've probably done it over 30 times now and it just never gets easier. All the workouts are hard, and none ever get "easy" if you push yourself, but L/B is in a nasty class of its own! I just wish I could change out the soundtracks, I get sick of the same yappie yappie from Tony LOL.

  11. 99 blackbird with 11,900 miles on it, $4300. It is in great condition, corbin gunfighter seat, heli bars, and zero gravity screen. Just had a full tune up this spring with all fluids replaced and a thorough check for wear and safety. Was told I should replace tires, sprocket, and chain in 4-5k miles otherwise everything looked good. Bike is located in Denver. Please email me if you are interested, joseph.hurt@yahoo.com. Thanks.

The reason I am getting rid of it is because I hardly ride it and would rather get rid of it than have it sit there.

Denver would be a nice place for a KLR650, right?! I'll trade (partial trade) you! Can't hurt to ask right...

  12. Does anyone know if a 97 exhaust is the same as a 99? They look identical on the fiche, and the price is the same, but bikebandit has different PNs. The 99 is FI yes?....

I'm hoping to do an exhaust swap between the two (one is aftermarket, one is stock).

    Thanks!

  13. Thanks. I had been looking at the LSL stuff but was choking on the price a little. I didn't realize the kit for my 97, which costs 299 includes everything though. Its not bad if thats the case I guess.

Does anyone have experience with this kit? It reads like it includes the clutch line (I'm assuming teh WS-C note means windshield mod req'd and clutch line included?), so the stock brake line is fine? I also noticed they say a handlebar is included in one spot. I had planned to use a Daytona bar (bikemaster).

Their website is not terribly clear. I can just call them Tuesday too.
