  1. I was fortunate enough to meet Scott and several of his team yesterday as I was meeting up with Joe.

Beautiful showroom, a ton of variety, and some seriously nice people there. His team gave me a fair price on the few things I did buy. When it's time to buy another bike or significant parts / accessories, I'm calling Scott and/or making the drive to Roanoke.

  2. I just saw this bike yesterday and it is a very pretty bike. If Erica and I had our gear we would have been riding that around instead of the car up in the mountains. :icon_biggrin:

    Great bike!!!!!

Did you call my new bike "pretty."

Joe - I no longer want it.....

And Dave, I feel confident I can handle Warp's driveway now.... I no longer am carrying around the (emotional) baggage I had back then. And yes, I know she was in the truck with you guys...

  3. Cut the old filters open and look at the filter material to know for sure.

+1. Definitely worthwhile to cut them open and look.

And Zero is right. While many claim to have "the best" filter, no one tosses any crap about the quality of the Purolator PureOne filters. Great filters and can be found at just about any auto parts store.

  4. Filters are cheap. If you think you could have damaged it enough to prevent flow (in any way), replace it.

We can't see the bend, so no one can reasonably see what "a little" is. But if there is any chance of restricted oil flow, then it might be best to take a mulligan and do it all again.

Hand tighten only. Lube the ring first.

  5. Yer catchin' on.

    I know I iz.

2007 NeXXt: Rick (Speed99) - "Someone get those destroyed tires and chains off the hotel roof. The owners are getting mad. I know, let's send the fat guy on the roof to go get them. Where's Griff?"

Well, that's how I remember it.

  6. Ahem. I meant divers as in springboard/platform divers. But you are welcome to one that has cleaned me. I'm sure if I venture into the garage I can find one I used when I was 17 and never washed. Mmmm... smells like teen spirit... :icon_evilgrin:

Thanks, but I'll wait for the one that both you and Ben have used well, after you take care of his "needs" (he was sounding a little needy on the other thread). Then I'll auction it off at NeXXt or something.

    Oh the fun!

  7. Swimmers and divers have been using them for years. I have several in a closet somewhere. Never tried to clean anything other than me with one though.

It must be you Yankee divers, because I have never seen anyone use one South of the M-D line!

(although quietly I am thinking that I am about to help with some OW Cert dives for a bunch of newbies, 5 dives in 2 days in 45 degree water, and maybe they are a good idea - and also thinking that maybe I can borrow the one that has cleaned you ;-) )

  8. How do you figure $1300 more is an even better deal???

    :icon_biggrin:

It wasn't, but the one you pointed out has been deleted.

Still, there are some good deals out there.

I don't think you're wanting a C14 if you're waiting on a replacement XX from Honda. The Bird replacement is the -14. The C14 is for those who aren't inspired by the ST (boring to me) or the FJR (very good bike, but doesn't take the twisties nearly as well as the Connie).
