  2. Brand New Beretta Wax Cotton Jacket size XL $175.00 (new cost $250.00) you can go to the berettausa web site to see the jacket listed in the clothing section. I weigh 235lb and it is an ok fit but I would not be able to get much clothing under it, so I would say its like an XL light. Thanks for looking
  3. They live somewhere near Perth
  4. If compression is low it will not fire properly, sooty plug, exhaust will smell rich due to poor combustion. PS I did not see you were from OZ, I have an Aunt, Uncle and cousins over there
  5. I wonder if ag90fox and desertrat ever got their bike's running, so many people gave them advice and then no updates from them, did they just give up???
  6. If your truck idle drops down it means the starter is pulling a ton of AMP's and loading up the truck alternator, sounds like the bike starter is jammed or frozen, good point on last post try to bump start it and see if engine turns over and or if it will start.
  7. For sale a 2000 Yamaha 800 XL wave runner, good condition, only some very small scratch's, rub rail & hull in good shape, low hours, 50mph. I would like $2800.00 but I think $2500.00 is fair.
  8. Yes you will get Flat spots, if you can't get car off the ground inflate tyres to 55 lbs and get some carpet squares under tyres. Rob
  9. Ther is a block connector (4 or 6 wires) down low on the left side of the frame close to the gear shift,ck for loose connection or burnt connection on one or more wires. Rob
  10. Now that the weather has warmed up did you get a chance to work on the old car. Rob
  11. Did you get any more time to work on the old car??
  12. When it turns over does it sound like it is getting plenty of juice? Make sure battery is fully charged, how old is battery? Just because you have 12V does not mean you have good AMPs, see if a local store can load test it for you. Rob
  13. I bet it is realy something so simple like a fiber insulating washer old worn out and cracked and fell off.Stearing you in the face but you cant see it, been there before. Rob
  14. Was doing some more thinking about it, yes the points grounding should be the problem, newer type point systems get there ground through the distriutor to the engine, but yours gets it back through the switch, if the base plate it grounded then the field in the coil will not collapse and cause the spark, also if you dont disconect the battery when engine is not running the coil will stay powered up overheat and fry. Keep me posted Rob
  15. Just sent you a message, just incase you dont ck for them often. Rob
  16. Glad to be of help. older cars are having the tank sender units fail due to the ethanol in the gas. Rob
  17. I know you are going to say "of course" but make sure there is fuel in the tank, gravity feed should fill the pump, did you have to pinch the line when installing the pump so as to stop fuel draining from the tank?? Is a MERC pump or aftermarket? There is a small posibilty that there is a hole or crack in supply hose to pump and it is sucking air but usualy you will see a leak, hope this is some help, keep me posted. Rob
  18. Make sure you do have a good 12v supply and good ground , where are you pulling your 12v from, why did you change the pump? If it is easy to remove ck it with stright battery supply on the bench to see if it runs.
  19. Hay Buddy what do you mean by "IIRC" Thanks Rob
  20. Than you for your reply and offer,I never thought of the O2 sensor. Rob
  21. Just for the hell of it I was looking for spec's on 1100XX (I have a 2002) On several place's, including Wikipeda, it said that 1999-2000 were good for 164 BHP and for 2002 they changed the map for smoother throttle responce but the HP droped to 152. Can anyone confirm this,if so can an ECM from a 2000 be used on a 2002 and pick up an extra 12 HP. Is it possible to remap the 2002 ECM. While I am here any one know how to tell a CA spec Bike from the reg US spec, is there a differance in the VIN or extra emmisions added? Happy Holidays To You All
  22. Randy see what you started, this could go on for ever,I like the comment about Black Springs LOL
