Just pay the actual shipping and buy me a beer when we meet next time
I'm not gonna need the pipe, so I'm just happy if it gets to good home.
Thanks man.
When we meet, we'll get drunk like we're famous for.
I don't know how I managed to get the dent in it.
-
If you don't get one before Christmas, I'm going to Finland and have extra one at my storage, just dusting.
I can send you that one.
excellent
Don't really need it before the spring..
How much do you want for it?
-
The exhaust on my bike has a dent on the side, and I wonder it any in here has one
collecting dust. The price in Norway for a new one is insane.
I recon the price for shipping will be around $120.

Another question.
Do you change oil in the spring or fall?
Some say that it is best to do it in the fall, and some says they do it in the spring
When do you change oil on you're bikes ?
-
Not sure if there the same or not but this may work for ya http://www.regulatorrectifier.com/catalog/...ifier-Connector
Their live chat pointed me towards:
http://www.regulatorrectifier.com/catalog/...df80375317ce9ce
Kinda spendy.. but what are ya gonna do?
Buy it.

I removed the cowl and the regulator looks a bit discolored? It's stinks like burnt wire!
There's also some dark spots on the rear foot bracket.
I'll post up some pics.
Don't forget, just about anything mechanical/electrical is like doing brain surgery for me. I get frustrated way too fast, especially when I have no clue what I am doing.
thank you all for the help/assistance.
Rich
Typical on older Hondas with no coolig ribbs on the RR.
Change it and the battery.

Forget about the GT for the BB. It is far too stiff.....
I sold a set to a BB-rider a few weeks ago. He insisted (against my advice) on the GT's.
He replaced them last week by the tyres I originally suggested to him (Dunlop Roadsmarts), and now he's happy again (told you so...).
The bike was much too bumpy, and could not give enough grip on bumpy roads.
+1
My 'bird came with Bridgestone, and I hated it.
The rear slipped when downshifting hard. :icon_shocked: Twice...
If it was cold and wet I would expect it, but not on a hot sunny day.
Changed them to Roadsmart before they showed any wear at all.
Never again BT's.

Thanks

I'll change the oil and filter on my 3 bikes this fall, and I got a good offer
on Amsoil full Synthetic Motor Oil 10w40.
Shouldn't be a problem using it on the Bird, Wing and Fazer :icon_think:
Anyone had any problem with this brand?
-
It made a big difference for both me and my girl.
We're both over 6'
I lowered the shifter, but didn't do anything with the foot break .
And took of the feelers on the pegs.
Ruth sold the XX and bought a FZ6 FAZER .
I grinded it a little bit and it fitted the Yamaha

Matt, you should post this on the WERA and NESBA forums if you haven't already. Those guys are less concerned with aesthetics, this is perfect for that crowd.
Agreed. Thank you. As soon as I recover my username / password on those boards I'm gonna do that. Or just start a new account.
Matt
Pls don't stay away so long next time bro
How are you?

Burned twice? Right through your pants and everything?
Nope, just burned once (edited the original post for clarity). I was wearing shorts, stupidly, for a quick ride up the island. But, with the way the bike went over, my calf ended up on the pipe for a few seconds.
Thanks for the link!
Still a little loopy from the Darvocet.

Save it for the apocalypse.
I have an old 386 PC in the basement...just in case. It'll be worth it's weight in gold after the EMPs go off.
This is in my basement, but they won't fit either
20 TB server and a big OUCH it any EMP goes off.

Nice bike and color.
About the same I had on my old Suzuki
Too bad you're selling it.

Avons are good for one thing.....
SMOKE SHOWS!
+1
Avon got the worst reputation of them all.
Wouldn't put them on the bike if I got paid to do it.
Avon we call avveien (off road).
Drive with Avon, and bike is bye bye in the first twisty.
When someone drive off the road, the first question is if he has Avon on the bike.

but so far so good everything went smooth and im excited to see how much power she makes...
how much?
should be around 400hp @ 20lbs and pump gas..if i run race gas 35lbs should be over 550 but its completely pointless to run that much boost
i get her this weekend she is finally someone complete...possibly a video too
Have you reinforced you joints, or are you expecting them to pop every time you hit the gas?
Instant wedgie

Battery tending...

Never.
I take out the battery in the fall when the season is over, and charging it before putting it on the bike in the spring.
Lasted 7 years on the first Bird. Haven't changed the 2005 yet.
