I will look into it. I think the relay was around 13 USD. I will check on the shipping. PM me an address.
Did you get my PM?
Got it. I've been a bit busy. I will go try to find it this week.
Going in the mail today.

AND now it's another oil thread, AGAIN.
Fixed

Empty the tank, and use a lighter to light up the interior to see better
Mount a filter on the line to the carbs, and renew it once a year. Problem solved.
No need to clean. New dirt will come filling it up again.

HID Conversion, Just bought the kit and delay
Interesting. How much for a delay and how do you connect it?
When I connect Hi and Lo they pull so much juice that it resets the clock and trip when I put on the ignition.
I havent installed the delay yet. I have a Euro switch and think I will do this instead. I will see if I can find the link to the ebay site i bought it on.
Dibs on the relay
It may be cheaper for you to buy it off ebay than to ship it from Texas to Norway. If it turns out that its not then its yours.
Doubt it.
Of e-bay I have to pay 25% vat on goods and freight.
I can't find any delay relay over here. If you ship it in a envelope it won't be expensive with US postal, and post it as a gift.
Then no VAT
Hobie and John bike bits have shipped to me several times.
PM me price on relay and freight.
I got paypal.

Daym!
I got 22 miles, and thought that was far enough

Thought I would see if there's any interest here before I start advertising it. My wife has been pressuring me for 2 yrs. to get a Wing(!!) which I have avoided so far. Now she has quit riding with me. Say's we are too old (56 is old??) for "sport" bikes! I figured she would come around but I don't think that is gonna happen. She's a keeper so..... Anyway, it's a 03. 21,600 miles, syn. oil always. 929RR shock, Race Tech Gold Valves F & R, Race Tech 1.0 KG springs, full system w/ CF can, Power Commander, K & N, Pilot Road 2's w/800 miles. Absolutely NO issues at all. Asking 5K, I think that's fair. I'm in FLA but I have a couple of trips coming up soon so I could possibly deliver to a point. Any questions, 850-944-6497
Do as many of us have done.
Keep the Bird and buy a Wing

I'm old and need a bagger. My wife has never liked pillion on the 'bird and wants another luxobarge. I'm tired of riding alone-- it's boring. So I'm going with the flow. I love the bike and will miss it. GL1800 here I come.
I understand about the wife thing, that is why it is good to have both. One for the honey and one for fun. Works for me.
+1
I have both, and love it

Spasiba
Nice setup on those bikes.
And welcome to the nut house.
You'll fit right in

The XX is a great bike. The BLACK ones are the fastest and also the best looking although this is a bike that looks great in all colors. I like the FI models myself. The bike is pretty reliable. CCT's are probably the most common failure but easily resolved. R&R and stators are probably next. I say look for a real clean BLACK one and you should be all set.
CCT must be mostley a US problem
This is my third XX, and no problem.
And I'm not deaf
I don't believe that it is only a US problem. As far as I know there are no differences in the CCT's. I see mentions of it throughout the world.
I know, maybe I've been lucky.

I had a 97 and have a 05. Carb had a bit nor power, but the F1 have faster respond on the throttle.
Feels a bit more aggressive. Other than that no difference.

Hei!
Og velkommen til galehuset
I had the same problem with my 97. I put in Dynojet, and after a bit of tuning
we got rid of the dip and about 16 hp more on the midrange
And it used a bit more fule. Almost 1 L pr MIL.
Men sprek som faen
Det er ikke mange her inne som leser skandinavisk, så mange vil google oversetting.. hehe

1 )
First of all , what tire have you actually used ? If M1 that would be Sportec , if Racetec it would be k1 OR K2 , etc .Sportec is not a race tire ( trackdays are doable for intermediate rider ) , so my guess is on the racetec .
If that was actually Racetec K1 2.8 bar or about 41 psi is insanely high pressure for the race tire . No wonder it would feel like a shit . I`m not Pirelli/Metzeler guy but I would be shocked if they recommend anything higher then 30-31 psi or 2.1 bar .
190/55 needs 6 inch rim period and even with correct size it still takes more effort to lean the bike over vs. 180 /55 .
2)
Real race tires are not known for easy handling characteristics , barely any feedback till you start hauling ass .
You're right - its the Racetec. I lowered pressure to 2.2 bar and it still rides like crap. Waiting for the Angel I ordered to arrive so I can start riding again... been using my Alfa 156 for the last 2 weeks. Traffic truly sucks moist ass when you have commuted exclusively by bike for years.
Shut the fuck up !!!!!
We have 2 feet of snow outside
About 7 more weeks before I can take the bike out
-
What a change - the bike feels like a truck in a straight line, and takes REAL muscle to turn in even at reasonably sane speeds. What happens next is the interesting part tho', as once its in the turn, the bike feels like it wants to keep leaning over and you have to muscle it out the turn. NOT a nice feeling at all.

Been there and done that

Yikes. That makes me feel better about our winter weather. Its only going to be around 63F today so it will still be a bit chilly on the bike.
LOL.
2 days ago we had 2'' of snow. Now it's 20'' :icon_shifty:

Hey, the weather is the only good thing about living in the socialist paradise of California!
Hopefully this winter won't be long.
The cold weather came 2 weeks ago. Last year it was snow from October to April :icon_wall:
But the Californian summer is a killer if you're practising ATGATT
