I hav a 2002 CBR 1100XX Blackbird. I'm looking for frame sliders, not shrooms buttons or whatever else they're called. I did a little research and Pro-Tec, they and LSL are the only ones that currently sell this product as far as I know, helped me out with specs. They told me that the puck they use is the same length as the one they use for the busa. I got off the phone with them before I got the total length from the engine for that product sooooo:
1) Anyone got a busa with a pro-tec frame, engine mounted, slider that they could measure for me?
2) My bird is silver and I'd like to get a match set of frame and bar end sliders that match that are either chrome, polished aluminum, or carbon. I like the Lockhart Phillips Drillers but I didn't see a matching bar end slider. Anybody got anything they really like? Once I get that previous measurement I should be able to call about any producer and get something as I have the bolt size (10mm x 1.25 pitch x 90 mm).
3) I considered matching swingarm sliders but it looks like those were factory installed in the form of big exhaust cans.
I know this may sound a little vain but I want my bike to look nice and be protected from those slow speed/standing still crashes and minimize damage from something that involves more speed.
