Sounds like a good price for the cleanliness, farkles, and mileage.
This will sell quickly.
Thanks. I'm hoping someone here will be interested. I know how much I appreciated the bike coming from the Blackbird.
-
Wait until June - July if you want to get top $. Half of us just paid taxes, and this a notoriously bad month to sell anything.
bump - thought when I edited it would float to the top but not so

Slow down there Chief, I think this might look really good in your garage. The bike knows its way up and down Palomar Mountain. "Traitor" that harsh. I thought someone her might be looking for a bike like this since Honda SUCKS! (now)
Well considering the owner is a traitor and has recently had a full frontal labotomy id say its worth about 5 bucks. Ill be nice and give you ten ENS though its fraternization to enter into a business deal between officer and enlisted so you will just have to give it to me!!! -
Really fellas? Come on y'all are full of opinions! Even if you're not in the market give me an idea what you think is a fair price.
2008 ZX-14 Midnight Saphire BlueI bought it new and I broke it in cautiously with numerous oil changes and a couple of hard pulls. No, she's not been down. She's just got some general road scuffs that comes with 12,000 miles but the 3M has mitigated a lot of that.
Here are the mods:
Fender Eliminator w/LED
3M'd the whole bike, all recommended areas, before it got out of the garage
Cox Radiator Guard
ZX-10 Front Wheel - lighter than stock and a direct swap
Spiegler full SS lines - black
EBC Pads
Handlebar Riser plates
T-Rex Stands and spools on the rear of the bike
Two Brother's Carbon Twin Cans with Juice Box - not dyno'd
Amsoil oil post break in with dino oil
PP2CT's - 190-55 on back
It's got about 12,000 on it and I really don't want to get rid of it but I can't stand seeing it sit in the garage.
I'll put pics on later if it makes sense to sell it. Bike is in San Antonio

Based on y'all's recommendations I'll start the bidding here @ $7,300 and will entertain reasonable offers

I finally got my silver '02 front fender after waiting umpteen weeks because it was on back-order and the dumbshit at University Motors who cut the box open to put a sub-harness and mirror boot in also put a nice long cut on the top of the fender. And then sent it to me. Niiiiiice.
I just called Mike and he said that there wasn't another fender in the country and he didn't know when they would get one.
I'm having A LOT OF TROUBLE getting common often-damaged parts for the XX. That doesn't bode well.
Can anyone help me out?
try this place
enter your colour code. their stuff is good, comes in a couple oh different applicaters, magic marker etc.
I have used the site liked it.
2 cents.
EDIT.
couldn't find the silver under Honda Motorcycle, probably be under the car chart tho I found the 97 and 03 colours here......................
I have a silver '02 front fender in my garage taking up space. Make me a reasonable offer and you pay shipping. It's got standard wear from 25K miles. I can get you pics if you like.

It is horrible to see your bike scraped up! Do you have pics of the fram covers? Not sure I've ever seen such a thing.
Sorry I didnt answer this earlier. The frame covers are just carbon fiber pieces that go below the seat on the frame... its just a carbon fiber triangle with a lip and its siliconed to the frame. www.spiralspinner.com has them under bodywork and a-tech
WOW! I've been hangin' out over on the 14 board. I always joked about buying this bike of course I can't afford it. Absolutely hate to see you giving this up after you did those gold forks and all. What are you replacing her with? If you're thinking 14, I know probably not, there may be some takers to trade one to get back on a bird?
-
Dave, your post about the dyno run over on the 14 site says you were using Brocks Exhaust but the pic has Hindle on it. Which one was on it with the dyno? It has a PCIII on it right? Just curious because I'm setting mine up similarly. You ready to sell me that seat yet?
-
Please put me first in line for the seat and I'll swap my stocker so you have one.
-
Its not the only bird out there that is white!
True, but does this one function? I love pokin' you in the eye! Hope you bring it out to TEXXT this year. And, I'm still ready to buy it. Kind of miss having a bird in the garage.
-
Just in case someone in our great state is looking for a bird
-
Let me know if you need them. I have a set off of a 2002.
-
I'm considering this same fix. One of my buddies said to go with Ohlins Springs and Valves. Does Ohlins make those pieces for our bikes? Thanks.
-
I thought exactly the same thing. I wonder if a shield would stand up to that kind of a blow? It looks like MR Cycle has the best price. Does it come ready to install? If I'm going to end up pulling the fairing it may be time to do the HID and mirror extenders too. If anyone has one of these they want to sell, even if I had to get it painted post up.

I bragged about going riding on President's Day and I paid. I took a rock to the absolute nose of the bike. The result is a 2" hole directly below the headlight. The inspection plate is gone too. I guess I was lucky that the light didn't take the hit. In the hands of the right person I think it could be repaired and painted good as new. I've done some glass work buy I'm not sure I can make this look right? Can one still order factory replacement parts or is my best hope ebay? Thanks!
-
After I put on the sintered EBC's I noticed the whine folks talk about at speed when applying the breaks.
On a similar note does anyone notice that after the bike sits that the pads stick causing a clicking sound when the brakes are first applied the next day? It only does it when the bike is cold and it only does it once? Thanks.
-
Does tis detectors work really?
Dave, are you still wanting to sell this? I've sent you a couple of PM's to no avail. If so email me @ scated@hotmail.com. Thanks.
-
nope,
where's moneybags bowen, come on josh buy it!
Ok, you've got to let it out of the bag soon. I've been considering selling the bird to buy a 1098. That's a great deal on that bike! I really like the all black though. After recent reviews of the 1125R it's no longer being considered. The CBR 1000 is neck and neck with the 1098.
It's not a new Busa?!!!!!!!!!!

Dibs on the micron if she sells w/o it.

I'm looking to cover up some rather ugly dents on the tank of the BB I just bought. The worst of them is on the right side, just below and to the left of the wing/Honda decal. The other two are much smaller and I know will be covered by any tank bra.
I see that Lockhart Phillips & Targa each sell half-bras. Can anyone tell me which one will cover more (ie. which will get closest to covering the decals)? Anyone got pictures of each mounted? I did a search here and found some pictures of mounted tank bras, but don't know which ones they were. I'd prefer the carbon fiber pattern (LP only I think), but covering the dents is the biggest priority.
I'm not that interested in the 2nd look & Bagster full covers, as those are much more expensive than what I'm looking to spend on this band-aid fix.
Check this thread for a pic with the LP

It's not a great pic but for you purpose it will give you an idea of what it covers.

Well here is the REAL deal. Not to brag but I would have to say that I have the baddest handling bird. She hasnt been tested yet but I have Ohlins road and track front forks, ohlins rear shock 6mm spacer for ride height, ohlins/scotts steering damper, dymag carbon fiber wheels. There aint much more you can do to the bird other than start hacking up the bike. Got carbon fiber and fiberglass body work... replaced front and rear brake calipers with standard 4 pot front and standard honda sport bike floating 1 pot rear.
I don't think that could have been orchestrated any better. I'll take a closer look when I get there. I'd like to see some pics. What made you decide to go with the Ohlins road and track front fork and how much was that gem? Tell me about the wheels.... I asked this earlier, how does it affect the handling as opposed to braking and acceleration? Sounds like you may have to wait up for me at Dudley's.

You can't quite see the curvature of the earth here. We're only about 50 miles from the Ozark Mountains. There are plenty of great roads in NE Oklahoma and NW Arkansas.
Don't let a poor old decrepit fat man worry you. You set the pace and I'll do my best to try and keep up. Where is SA?
I'm out near Helotes circa Sea World. We run the hill country before breakfast. C'mon down anytime. Anytime except TEXXT for me though. I'll be in San Diego for about a month but I'll be back in November. Duane, FltMdc, lives a few miles from here.

I really like the sound. I roll out of my neighborhood at 0530 and at low RPM's it's not bad at all. I didn't even opt to put in the tips to quiet them down.
