  1. Rest assured that the bike will be very well cared for, and if I decide to sell her in the future I will give Jake the first shot at buying her back! Now I just need to sell the 2002 Bird since no matter how hard I try I cannot get my wife to start riding it
  2. Several people have been asking me about selling the Givi bags, which are Black by the way, but I want to offer them to whomever buys the bike first...if that person does not want them I will advertise them here.
  3. I hope this is a joke? Sadly, I think he was serious.
  4. I did a search of the forum and it appears that some people had a set for sale so instead of sending all of them a PM to see if they still had them I thought it best to ask here - drop me a PM or email (robert.ziolkowski@us.army.mil) if you can hook me up. Thanks in advance...Bob Z.
  5. Funny, I thought I was the only one who used a bicycle pump. But the one I have is a good one and has not failed me in the 3+ years I've had it. And my triceps are huge.
  6. I should be able to include a set of stock pipes and windshield to the buyer. Also, I will offer the buyer the opportunity to purchase a set of Givi luggage bags with the mounting brackets, etc.
  7. Thanks - I am looking forward to my 2nd Bird, at least for a little while until the 2002 sells...my wife cannot decide if she wants to start riding again so you use for 2 Birds!
  8. Odo rolled over 20k miles on the way home yesterday...still low miles for a Blackbird that is looking for a new home.
  9. From one handsome guy to another, it seems that a deal might be had; however, mine is a Corbin Gunfighter - see the attached pic, which is what it looks like on my current Bird. It is as-new and I bought it new about a year back...it has less than 3k miles of seat time.
  10. Email sent...not sure if you got them - get back to me if when have time. Thanks...Bob Z.
  11. For a Silver 2002 Bird. I have a Corbin Gunfighter on her now that is perfect, which I may trade if desired, or buy outright. Thanks...Bob Z.
  12. If the valves are out of adjustment, are there any tell-tale signs such as running rough, noises, etc.?
  13. SOLD Very nice, maintained 2002 Blackbird with some extras. I bought it from the original owner in 2008 when it had ~9800 miles; the current mileage is ~19,900. I have since had all the fluids changed and recently changed the oil/filter (Amsoil 10/40) and the Pilot Road tires, EBC brake pads, CCT, battery, chain, etc. are fine - the bike needs nothing and it runs perfectly. It has the following extras: clear turn signals lenses, clear tailight, Corbin seat w/Silver piping, tinted Givi windshield, D&D slip-ons, K&N air filter, peg lowering brackets, grip puppies, tank cushions for when you are leaning forward, and some custom "XX" decals. While the bike is very nice there are a few blemishes, which the previous owner said were from when it was shipped when he moved. For example, the paint on the lower right side has a few scuffs and has a few bubbles near the lower decals since he tried to repaint it himself. Also, there is a scuff on the rear of the tail section that was touched up. But the bike has never been down, nor was it when owned by the original owner. Also, I do not have the original parts (i.e., seat, pipes, etc.) that were swapped out, but I do have the owner's manual, both keys, and other documentation. I have over $6500 invested in her so I think that $4500 is a fair price. I had hoped that my wife would once again take up riding but since she cannot decide I told her I would be offering it for sale; one Bird in the family is enough. I live in Palm Coast Florida (between Jacksonville & Daytona Beach) and she is garage kept and covered; I only ride to and from work and it is covered whenever it is not in motion. Thanks for reading and feel free to email me directly for more pictures if you are interested....Bob Z. (robert.ziolkowski@us.army.mil)
  14. This bike was on ebay and I talked to the seller - original fluids scared me off.
  15. Hmmm...I'd love it hear a sound clip. My D&Ds still sound great but your approach is very interesting.
  16. Put the small piece of metal back in the tire
  17. I listened to many before I decided on my D&D slip-ons, non-street pack...if I had to do it over again I would not change my mind. And money was not a concern.
  18. Already sold - he would not tell me how much though....what a butt.
  19. I know sound/noise is subjective but how would you classify it - loud? mellow? as compared to others? I have D&Ds on mine and while many think they are loud I love them, and don't think they are loud at all; however, I rode Harleys for 15+ years so maybe I am partially deaf.
  20. Do you need the entire assemblies? Lenses?
