  1. 2003 Bird for sale!

Hey guys, I need some cash and am selling the bird. It's an 03 with 19k well pampered miles and has the following mods:

4into2into1 full titanium akrapovic exhaust system with carbon fiber can

corbin gunfighter with backrest, not shown in pics ( stock seat in mint condition included)

    power commander III usb

    Double bubble

new DID 530 gold chain and new sprockets

    Michelin power pilot 2ct's

    acumen digital voltage/gear indicator

    frame plugs

custom stainless center stand stay to accommodate the exhaust

    ebc sintered brake pads

    cam chain tensioner

Bar end helmet lock and throttle miester

    oram headlights

wired for beltronic's rx65 radar detector

all fresh fluids and only respol oil used

I am sure there is more, but that's all I can think of right now

I am the second adult owner and it has been garaged since new. The paint is perfect with the exception of a few pebble scratches on the left side where it fell in a gravel drive. The bike has never been wrecked or down.

All parts have been installed in the last 400 miles, all were purchased new, the tires have about 200 miles on them and the chain and sprockets have about 50 on them. Everything on this bike works as it should and all work has been professionally done and no cutting or anything that would prevent the ability to turn back to completely stock. Also included is the stock exhaust that is perfect with the exception of a small dimple in one of the cans, still looks very nice. I am asking $6900.00 obo, The only reason I am selling is that I do not ride it enough and we are buying a new boat and I need the cash. You can email me at renhalt@comcast.net or call me at 239-826-2480. The bike is located in Cape Coral, Florida and i can assist in shipping.

  2. Well please except my apology, I am glad you guys think it's such a good deal. I am sorry I don't think it's in that great of shape. The seat pan area shows a fair amount of wear and I don't think it is a bargain. Me personally, I would rather shell out an extra hundred bucks and buy new. I am sorry I responded so strong and more power to him if he gets his asking price.

  3. I'm not trying to be a prick, I just don't think that a hundred bucks its much of a savings. And besides, it looks like it has had a fair amount of use in the seat area. And it doesn't matter how many post I have made, my opinion would still be the same. I mean the whole point of this site is to share information with each other about our birds, if we have something to sell. We offer it to our fellow bird riders for a fair price. If you want damn near new prices for a used parts then put in on flea-bay.

  4. No, it's a darker shade of gold than the OEM stuff. I went with aftermarket wheels and a different sprocket not long after I bought the one pictured, but they're well thought of and reviewed just about anywhere you ask.

    Thanks, i appreciate your input!

  5. Do these match the gold part of the stock rotors? Have any of you had these? And what is your opinion? Any help would be useful, thank you in advance!

  6. How do you figure $1300 more is an even better deal???

    :icon_biggrin:

It wasn't, but the one you pointed out has been deleted.

Still, there are some good deals out there.

I don't think you're wanting a C14 if you're waiting on a replacement XX from Honda. The Bird replacement is the -14. The C14 is for those who aren't inspired by the ST (boring to me) or the FJR (very good bike, but doesn't take the twisties nearly as well as the Connie).

Im sorry i thought he was asking 10k! non the less they are still both good deals. And nice bikes to ride as well.

  7. Does the Connie have a 3 year unlimited miles warranty? I was thinking it was only the Goldwing.

Car dealers usually have great deals on bikes!!! Sweet price.

Here's a even better deal on one! And it is a dealer, so you can haggle with them. They have had it for a while, I was considering it before I bought my bird. These guys have alot of bike with good prices.

  8. Try JP Motors for what I found at the time were the best prices on most makes of exhaust.

I would up buying a pair of D&Ds from them that I special ordered without the huge "D&D" logo tags on the cans. People either hate or love D&Ds - I could not be happier. But again, they carry most makes so at least check them for a price on what you are looking for.

Finally got a hold of him, just bought complete, new 4 into 2into 1 stainless akrapovic system with carbon fiber can for $375.00 shipped to my door, and already have tracking number. I could not have asked for a better deal. Thanks everyone for you advise and help in this matter.

  9. I have an 03 bb and it runs perfect, the only think is on occasion i get a couple of drops of coolant under the center stand where the overflow tube is located in front of the rear shock. The bike runs normal temps and I cannot find any leaks. Is this normal? Or is my thermostat sticking? Is it over full? It doesn't seem to be. Any help would be useful. Thanks
