OK, WTF is that? I see Nik is fond of it. Anyone care to enlighten me?

It's probably in here somewhere:

This lists three different part numbers for them. Dunno what part numbers go with what years though.

I change synth oil, and filter, every 2k miles.
-
I switch to synth at 2k miles on all my bikes. (Some people switch after the first break-in oil change.)

Any plans on getting rid of that "old used up" Emap
Nah. I just bought the eMap setup from RockMeUp a few weeks ago.
-
Note that the eMap is discontinued, and it's not waterproof. (Though, if it gets rained on, and you dry it out good, it'll be fine.)
Having said that, I have one on my dirt bike and like it. I have a StreetPilot III for the car/truck/street bike.

Are you carrying any luggage on the back of the bike, by chance? My front end got a little twitchy if I had the Givi's full....
-
Yeah, that sounds a little high. We sold my GF's 2003 Ninja 250 with less than 700 miles for $2195 a few months ago.
-
You could just leave it off and save some more weight. 2 bolts and 2 minutes and it is back on to work on the bike. That's how I do it
You carry your center stand with you on rides, in case you need to reinstall it?
-
I may be wrong, but if the battery is completely dead, there won't be power to "prime" the FI (the noise you hear when you turn on the key), so it wouldn't bump start anyway. Right?
-
There's a brake part attached to the right passenger peg?
-
My Throttlemeister came with a "tool" to remove the internal bar weight on the throttle side. Popping it out with that was a piece of cake.
-
Shame on your for showering the bird in sawdust!
-
I use WD40 and Honda Spray Cleaner And Wax. I clean the bike often (like after every ride) so if you have a large build-up, I'm not sure what the best method would be.
-
Assuming it's a FI model of the XX, you get a PowerCommander.

I ran the stock pressure, and used the bike mainly for sport-touring.

I got 10k out of the BT010's on my 929. I just put a new set of BT020's on the XX. I'm hoping to get at least that out of these. Were those the ones you were talking about?

Those crazy northerners with no central AC.

Yeah, I think some Magellan ones aren't. Seems like someone said one of the Garmin models wasn't but I'm not sure.
All three Garmin's I've had, have been 12v.
-
Make sure your GPS is 12v before direct wiring it.
-
How about the Old Front Stand? Or if you get the converter for the fork lift to convert it to a stem-stand?
-
Sounds like maybe you didn't use it right.
I've use the steering stem Pit-Bull and the fork-lift Pit-Bull on my XX and had full access to the axle with both. :?:

Stick the antenna to the top of your helmet. Should get great reception then.
