Howard had (has?) about the trickest 'bird I've seen. Gorgeous, surgically clean. Trick, trick and more trick. Like mine would be if I won the lottery... Well, at least mine is surgically clean.

I got the exhaust from another forum member (thanks again, Howard!) in California, who bought it in Japan. I've never seen another one. The workmanship is just amazing, and the fit is better than any aftermarket pipe I've owned. Thanks for all the kind words. I love the bike and it's the best bike I've had the pleasure of owning. But the time has come for something like a Connie or FJR or, (gasp) even a GL. What it really comes down to is that my wife has never liked rear seat on this bike, and I am tired of riding alone ALL the time. She hasn't been happy since I sold the Venture Royale. That and the taxman...the tuition man...you know. Being a grownup can really suck.

I Had a front (Bridgestone) cup almost exactly like that on my VFR. It had a dent in the steering head race (wheelies) that made it notchy and kinda dangerous to ride. I switched to All Balls tapered rollers and Z6s and never had uneven wear after that. Bike rode a helluva lot better too. I haven't seen a rear wear like that before. Was the wheel in the bike straight?

If you use a map that advances the ignition timing, you'll need to run at least 93. Otherwise, regular's fine.
