  1. The 02 sensor bung is on the side of the Y connector right behind the collector boxes. At least it is on my 05 pipes that hang fromthe garage roof. JohnS
  2. I think you will find one or more worn and perhaps burnt selector forks. This can happen from a constant loading on the fork. Can be a rider who preloads the shift lever all the time or a badly setup gearbox. JohnS
  3. The cats on my bike are in the muffler link pipes. Thats why they are fatter. The collector boxes are just boxes. I have seen this mentioned elsewhere and think that a lot of people are confused about the exact location of the cats. If the collector had a cat the O2 sensor would be downstream of the cat and that would defeat its purpose. JohnS
  4. The Akropovic on my 05 Bird uses the carb version pairings. The OEM header pairs 1 & 4 and 2 & 3. The Akra is designed for the FI model as it has the o2 sensor hole. The mid range is still good and the top end is awesome. That is after a o2 eliminator and a Power Commander. It was crap without that. JohnS
  5. Not advertising just trying to help keep costs down. If you look at the site before running off at the mouth you will find you can't buy anything there. You can however save a lot off the price of these and similar fasteners by doing as I said and visiting a shop supplying the body repair industry. By the way thanks for the welcome. For what its worth I have 39 years experience on bikes and a life of experience in the motor industry, have raced cars and bikes and still have the occasional run down the drag strip on my H2 Kawa. I may be new to this board as I got my 05 Bird in Nov but that does not equate to not knowing what I'm talking about! Next time you want to write crap like that have the manners to enquire by PM as to the real facts. JohnS
  6. There are a number of options available from Wurth Fasteners http://www.wurthusa.com/project/en/leftnav.../body-shop.html These should be available from any supplier servicing the body repair industry. JohnS
  7. I would be very suprised if there was a major difference between the inlet and exhaust cams and it is indeed possible that they are using the cams this way. It is common for inlet and exhaust cams to be identical in profile and lift. High performance motors frequently are not identical and I would suggest that if you are going to try this that you make sure that you know what you are doing with setting it up and timing or it could get expensive.
