  1. Ok with the nut backed off you have to grab your subframe and lift the rear of the bike up. I suggest having a friend help. Once you lift the bike up the shock will drop down and you should be able to insert the shim then simply relax and tighten the bolt!

The rear wheel is already off the ground. I would think the weight would simply pull the shock down but it did not.

doesn't the Pit Bull stand lift the rear wheel off the ground? By lifting the swing arm..............which is connected to the shock.............

  2. I'm also looking for graphics for my silver bird. There are 2 sellers on eBay currently offering complete graphics kits for our bikes, but they're in Russia and Bulgaria! Don't feel like paying shipping from halfway around the world and the wait time...surprised there's nobody in the USA offering XX graphics.

why would they make em here? theres only 20 of them left!!!!!!!!

and ten of them are at Josh's and Joe's

  3. I lost my key and I dont have a spare. The wheel is locked and its very hard to get the ignition off. My question is: If I remove the gas cap and take it to the locksmith to have them make a key, would the key work in the ignition?

trying to get the ignition off will involve removing the front cowl the screws are the anti tamper type, they are easy to get in and a pain in the ass to get out. I think I ended up using a mole grip, which had me taking off the dashboard and front cowl.

The tail is much easier to get at go that route. good luck

if you took the handle bars off why you can't just lift out the top of the triple tree. Still probably easier to go thru the tail.

  5. I haven't heard much in the way of positive feedback about the lights in the Mototeck unit. Cheap and dim as I recall. The Pimpbikes undertray is much cheaper than the Pyramid (only a hundred bucks: pimpbikes website), and I think the lights are decent. Here's the same style on an F4i, the XX one is similar but has additional signal lights:

I got these lights and fitted them to a PIMP bikes undertail. They are all in one running lights, brake and the center LED's turn amber when indicating. Are very bright am happy with them.

    cheers

  6. you just gotta open your trap............

Yep...and you just planted your foot in it.

    SNAP!

snap? why post pro oiler in this thread?

    You fucken oxygen thief

Perhaps you should look at the video I quoted. That video showed the Totorro oiler nozzle failing when it got caught in the chain even though it was mounted as directed.

I had similar issues with the bracket on the Pro-Oiler. Whey you pay $35 for a chain oiler, how high-end a product do you expect to get? If the Pro-Oiler had it's own issues at over $200, what do you think $35 will bring?

There was a connection...you just get off calling people names rather than looking for it.

your full of shit, in the 'video review' he said with reference to the installation " he made it up as he went along". Doesn't sound like he used the instructions. Not having any instructions to look at he has obviously done something wrong , comparing the pics from the website shows one situation where the nozzle is mounted similar to the example in the video.

I had a Scott Oiler and it mounted in the same way, using cable ties. I changed that for a Pro Oiler and using the self tapping screws that were provided it has stayed on the swing arm for about 4-5 years.

ever heard the saying" better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than open it and remove all doubt. this applies directly to you

are you sure it's not you in the video? cause he's a fuckwit as well.

anyhow my point is why would you bring up an oiler system that has nothing to do with what the thread is about a about a group buy t.

that is all I apologize for trashing up this thread.

    Edited:

  8. Pay now or pay later.

You get what you pay for in some cases.

Can't say I didn't have issues with the Pro-Oiler. Even doing things just as they say, I had a problem with the oil nozzle bracket NOT coming loose over time. Ultimately, I had dad fabricate a brace out of stainless that the bracket is riveted to. Near impossible for the nozzle bracket to work loose now. Why they think two self-tapping screws will hold perfectly in all applications I just don't get. I didn't for me.

Still, it's rock-solid now and I really don't have to think about it beyond checking to see nothing's wrong with the nozzles when I stop for gas.

  9. Can also see the air horn I installed on Sat!

    digi1.jpg

what kind of air horn is that? whats the benefit of mounting it there?

and why didn't you mount it where the stock one mounts?

Is a Wolo Bad Boy. In the stock horn mounting location it looked like it would make fender contact under full suspension compression. And it would look pretty ugly there.

It just fits inside the fairing in the place I put it. Its also out of the weather / crap there.

I'll post another pic when I have the upper back on. Its a nice fit..

    nice,

Seems to be similar to the struebel nautilus air horn. which I mounted in the stock location once I had made a slightly longer bracket.Have had it on for 3-4 years maybe longer have had no problems yet.

    just saying.
