Thanks to everyone for the compliments. I've added a few littel bits since those pics were taken: Ti bolts on the front end, a billet pipe hanger, a modified experimental rear rotor from Braking, speedo healer, ...um that's all I can think of at the moment. I do have radial caliper mounts for the SP-1 forks to convert it over to radial calipers and probably other things.
A few more pics...
Price...Iwould like to see about 10K.

That's a beautiful bike.
Good luck with the sale.
Asking price?
What kind of seat is that, the one from Germany?
Hi Hank,
Thank you for the compliment.
Yes that is the HS-1 seat/tail from Germany. Waited almost 7 months for it and it had to be ordered from the U.K. as the guy won't sell to the U.S. The paint is flawless from him, matches perfectly.
Asking price....well, whatever the market will bare. Not cheap. I'm hoping for a sizable down for a new Naked.

My 2001 XX may come up for sale soon. Those who know me and the bike know that is a one of a kind with many unobtanium parts and only the best of what is/was available. Mileage, 30K. Always garaged, TSR, Billet Brembo, Magnesium Marchesini, HS-1, Braking, Goodrige, Ohlins, SP1, Bagster, Dyno-Jet, ... the list is endless. Plus all the rear subframe and body parts from a late model GSXR-1K to graft onto the rear of the bike ( a project I haven't gotten around to). NO STOCK PARTS

Thanks guys...love being here when time permits...H

Howie howzit goin?
Pretty good. Workin" which is a good thing. Still playing with my XX adding new shit from TSR that they come out with. Latest addition, if I can afford it, will be a full GP spec rear 220mm full floater rotor and GP spec/billet Brembo caliper. Both items on billet carriers to mate to the Marchesini wheels. Waiting for price from Japan. Hope it isn't to expensive.
Have radial mount kit also for my SP-1 forks, just need the Brembos. And a GSXR-1K rear sub-frame,seat,tail etc to mate to the XX frame.
Got a VFR1200F for touring and love it.
Whats up with you?

Nice job...The real Euro switch has a mid position between the "off" and "on" that supplies power to the little 3 watt marker light in the Euro headlight. Know that little black cap on the underside of the front nose fairing? removal will give you access to the marker light socket on the Euro headlights. The US headlight version does not have the required attachments for the marker light.
-
They are nothing more than sound deadening material. Nothing to do with support or airflow.
-
Great job, but why not just get the unit from High Tech Speed Lights with the controller box? Sure you save some cash but look at the time it took to make and the aftermarket unit is very robust, likely much more robust than the home made item (solder joints etc.), programable and bolts right in all plug and play without any cutting of wires or modding of plugs etc.

Just buy the damn things new from David Silver Spares and quit wasting your time looking for used crap. They aren't that expensive last time looked.
May be good to double check the cost new! How about over $200.00 expensive and then shipping from England plus customs fee.
Just checked pricing on both the L/H and R/H switches for an '01 XX, U.K. spec. with on/ff for the lights on the R/H and passing on the L/H from David Silver Spares in the U.K. These are new OEM Honda parts.
L/H switch: 73.44 GBP = $102.55 USD
R/H switch 67.67 GBP = $94.45 USD
Delivery time to DSS is 2-3 weeks and delivery from DSS to U.S. address 7-10 days.
Shipping switches from U.K. to U.S. address is minimal and in the 30 years I have been importing parts from Europe, I have only been charged customs fees twice, and that was when I had a pallet of parts imported.
So email or call David Silver Spares and tel them Howie sent you.
