  1. I did not use their chart. I have always been a XL glove guy but thought maybe a bigger size would be more comfortable. They were, but using the iPhone was more difficult.

I wore the XL's today for an extended ride. They are a tad tight. Hopefully the XL's will soften up a bit over time. Then they will be perfect.

Ya, I know, I didn't answer your question. I think it's because I have no idea how to answer.

Dave would know. At least he knows my left hand...

  2. I bought these gloves thinking my hands were as fat as my body (2X). They are not.

Therefore my mistake is your gain. I paid $100 with free shipping from eBay last week. Fucktard price is $80, and I'll cover the shipping.

These gloves are designed to work with capacitance touch screens like the iPhone. I can vouch that these gloves worked great with my iPhone. These gloves are basically new.

  3. never seen this before, any body ever?

360 degree spark ignition: Brisk Premium Spark Plugs have a 360 degree spark perimeter, unlike conventional spark plugs that confine the spark to one restricted space. Since the fuel/air mixture around the spark plug is constantly changing, this results in a faster and better ignition.

    Yup, czech junk.

Disclaimer: We make igniter plugs for turbine engines. We used to make spark plugs for recip aircraft engines.

+1 to others' comments. There is nothing unique about this plug.

  4. I agree Will. Something else must be wrong.

I have read a bunch of the R1 posts but my unit does not appear to to "bad". Being in the ignition business I kinda know my way around the electrical system. I'm just wondering if there's someone who might have a similar experience.

New Yuasa 12S battery on the way from MotoX...

  5. Thanks for the replies guys.

Looks like I am due for battery #3. Has anyone else had to replace their battery every 2 years? Yes, I know I live in FL but still, that seems like a pretty short life for a battery.

  6. Thx guys.

Yes, I checked all of the +, - and ground wires. I also went through all of the fuses to be sure I didn't miss anything. The thing that is weird is that with previous dead battery situations the lights often would not even come on. This time everything appeared A-Ok but the dreaded clicking sound ensued.

  7. So I'm at bike week yesterday. Starting the bird up, shutting it off repeatedly. As always, no problems. I pull up to the hotel and park it out front while I check in. I come back outside to pull the bike into the garage and watch the normal pre-start countdown, lights are all on, etc. But when I go to start it I get the dreaded clicking sound. And the bike will not turn over at all. Sounds like another dead battery.

Now I have 2 external devices wired on my battery (the bigger 14S Yuasa). My Zumo (with included inline fuse) and the plug off my battery tender. I remove both of the devices off the battery and still no joy. I push the thing into the gargage as the Harley guys all laugh and give me a hard time (Did I mention Harley puts all of their show workers up at the Hilton...). This morning I jump it off my wife's car and blammo, starts right up.

As I'm riding in to work I realize I'm low on gas. Worrying I will have to jump it or find some kind souls willing to help me bump start it. But the red flashy thing has been flashing for about 20 miles. So I stop for gas and..shut it off.

    Here's where it get werd.

After I fill 'er up, I figger I'll give it a shot to see if it'll start up. Blammo! It starts up without a hiccup. I've since turned it off and restarted it multiple times with no drama.

    What gives?

  8. Doesn't take me too long to figure out what NOT to buy, so Michelin Pilot Road 2s are going on next time.

I make my living with my own motorcycle-tireshop near Amsterdam (the Netherlands).

I suggest you try the new Dunlop Roadsmart instead of the Michelin. Yes, the MPR2 is great, and probably the best in the rain, but the Roadsmart is a better tire for heavy bikes like ours. It is much more stabile and predictable, and the bike steers completely neutral. The PR2 will (when pushed) make the bike move like the tirepressure is a little too low, and it has the urge to fall into corners.

The difference is not huge, buth tires are excellent, but I (and most other BB-riders here in Holland who tried both) do prefer the Roadsmart.

I heard the PR2's fall more into left hand turns than right ones in Europe. Is that true? :)

    j/k, NBL Helvet.

Thx for the industry view. While we are all tire experts by simply owning a bike, I always appreciate an insiders take. Don't ask me about aircraft ignition systems... You don't want to know...

  9. I can offer my 01' with 20,7?? miles for 4900 with farkles. HID's, New brakes, 4K miles on chain & sprockets, corbin GF&L, Two Bro's slip on's, PCIII mapped, led rear turn's, clear alt' tail light, 2 extra windscreens, red anodized levers and bar ends, polished rear sets, K&N air filter, and a few other things.

It's not perfect but not too bad.

Why are you limiting you choices to just an 01? Color ?

    What are you getting Adam?
