  2. I moved my bars up so that the pinch bolt is even with the top of the fork. The top of the clamps are about 5/16" or so above the top of the fork tubes. I also pulled the bars back toward teh tank a little. What I did was put a bungee around the left handlebar and the mirror, to hold the bars at right full lock, then put a 5/8" wide screwdriver between the right handlebar and the tank and clamped them there. That way they're as close as you can be to the tank without hitting the tank at full lock. I then reversedd the bungee setup and did the other side. Huge improvement And free. As said make sure you really crank down on the pinch bolts since the locator tab will now not be in it's slot. So far so good.
  3. Seafoam works. It's a big thing over in the boating forums as well. I seafoamed my 1997 outboard (2 stroke V6) when I bought it last year, and had the heads off before and after. Huge improvement, and it made the engine much much quieter and smoother. Definitely works.
  4. Cops, on the way home, when you learn how addictive twisting the happy handle is.
  5. It's when you're :suckmeoff: so fast that the lips start to flutter. It's the best.
  6. Stuff works wonders. Use enough of the 'warming' type and you won't even need heated grips.
  7. Yeah took 1 day from hong kong. Shipped on 9/27 had it on 9/28. Fed-Ex International Priority.
  8. Hey AZITPRO, I got the 6000's. Wouldn't change a thing. They are far from blue, pure pure white with a slight blueish hue but they look more white than anything else. I swear I can see 2 miles with the high beam now. What's cool is how it's bright when you turn it on, then it just gets brighter and brighter for like 15 seconds. Worth every penny and then some. I found that I had to adjust the light aim UP a little bit. Seems like the low beam patch of light was closer to the bike after the HID install. I'd say maybe 1/2 turn of the knob and I am back to where I like it. Easy to tell on these bikes too with the real clean horizontal cutoff of the beam, jst ride and look at the trees on the side of the road, you want a slight downward angle at cruise, which results in a straight-out horizontal beam when accelerating. My $0.02.
  9. Yeah same thing here. The little plastic adapters that came with the kit did not work. I just plugged the spades on the HID harness right into the lamp plugs on the bike. Then wrapped it up well in electrical tape. I think the latest batch of kits must have had a different adapter because I could not get it to fit, with or without the Honda H7 adapter in place.
  10. update, got both beams in and made the 60 mile commute to work in the dark. Well it was dark everywhere except in front of my bike which might as well have been daylight. The scary thing is I have never seen so many fucking deer in the woods in my life. Little brown bastards. HID == :D
  11. Just use the spark plug boot trick. I had some old accell wires around in the garage, one boot did both lamps and they are held in securely. Since you already cut up the factory adapter then try to bend the clip to get a better fit, but for anyone else reading this, find an old spark plug wire, cut off two 3/8" thick rings from the spark plug end, split them and fit them around the lamp base. Done.
  12. Got mine today! :D Got the low beam done, and just did a little comparo between the stock high beam and the new HID low beam. Holy f'ing crap. The stock H7 now looks like a puny little yellow candle. The HID is so bright and the color is pure white, just the slightest tint of blue. Looks awesome! Can't wait to take it to work tonight. :D The bike itself just looks better with the pure white light coming from it. I'm :D . THANKS FOR THE GROUP BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Later,
  13. I heard about that and looked at my bike, there are locating tabs on the bars that I don't think would fit right if you reversed them. If you can let me know because I'd like to try it. I think the only problem is the hydro lines and they can be rerouted to fit as per a post I read somewhere (here).
  14. Thanks guys, great info. Getting the full kit at 6000K.
  15. Also how much of a light output ( I don't care about color ) difference is there between an 100W halogen high beam and the HID 6000K high beam?
  16. OK it took a while but I'm in, ordering today. What's the easiest way to install? What body panels have to come off to mount everything up? Thanks!
