  1. Why does the toilet wait until Christmas Eve to start leaking?

I live in a apartment building, so I am concerned about flooding the downstairs neighbor. Luckily it is not the pipes that are leaking, but from the underside of the bowl, so it can only dump the amount of water in the bowl.

It will be fixed, but not without me worrying about it until then!

  2. How could you rip a sheet of plywood with the tablesaw in that position....

Just a guess, but open the garage door?

I cannot figure out which wall has the garage doors. I know it is not the wall with the standard size doors. Probably not the wall with the water heater on it. And next to the drill press it looks like there is something mounted on the wall. Not sure, but maybe the garage doors are behind the table saw.

  3. I always forget to check this part of the site.

I went to the gym today and hit a new personal record doing rack pulls/deadlifting. 315 lbs for 1 rep, 2 sets.

If you do not know what rack pulls are, check out the women in this video.

I figured you would rather check out some woman working out. The last effort, she is going for 335lbs.

My goal is to workout extremely hard and fix some lingering problems that I have.

  4. Hypothetically they are starting to put it back together again, but it is slow going. The tub and tile were delivered on Friday, so hopefully they will get the bathroom put together this week.

I am not living there. I am staying at a friends place that is out on the road with a show.

Yes, that is an NYC cockroach. The plumbing chase is open so they can do some work and the friends have come out to visit.

Hopefully I will have some picture updates next weekend.

  5. I am about to have my apartment renovated, but I am doing some of the work myself.

I tried stripping some metal door frames using Rock Miracle and it is a real PIA. The flat surfaces are easy, but there are very few flat surfaces. After 8 hours, I have barely finished one side of one doorway. It still needs work.

Is there an easier way? I have a grinder, and I am tempted to get a wire brush for it, but I am not sure if that would be easier.

I know, the easier way would be to hire someone.
