  1. "Go Pound Sand!"..............Woah, I wish I had the mental capacity to actually think of a comeback like that! Can I use that statement if I ever need it.......or did you copyright it before you turned it loose in here? :icon_clap:

    Peg Slider

Motorcycles come with peg feelers on them................Who knew??? That is one of the first things that come off of a bike when I buy one..........................useless part!! YMMV

  4. I would agree with what jcrich and others have said about doing trackdays. I started doing them in 2005 and thought that I was a pretty good rider.........until I got on the track. I have without a doubt, learned more about riding in the last 3 or 4 years (trackdays) than I did the entire time that I've been on a motorcycle.......I started riding in 1971. I still love to ride on the street, but as Rich said, it has become more of a "social event" for me now, but it also has the added benefit of spending good quality time with my wife, as she rides also, both on the street and the track.
  5. He does realize that the Wing has an adjustable windscreen doesn't he? That might be an "Mr Obvious" statement, but hey, I thought I'd post it up........just in case.
  6. Thanks Adam.......I guess being an Electrician for almost 30 years gives you a little insight on some of the issues.
  7. 2 mA is not a lot of current. If you have a 10 amp/hour battery that would equate to 10,000mA/hour. So if you are leaking 2mA it would take you approx. 5000 hours to completely draw the battery down. Once the voltage level started to drop, the current draw would also slowly decrease. Bottom line is this.......... 2mA would take forever to run a motorcycle battery down 5000 hours = over 200 days
  8. Do yourself a favor and QUITE doing a "beep" test on circuits that have voltage on them....before you fry your meter. The "beep" sound is for circuit continuity.......as in whether a circuit is open or closed and/or the amount of resistance in the circuit. You've been given good advice on hooking up your meter in series with the battery cable to check for current flow when there shouldn't be any current flow. Take if from there and see where the current leakage is.

    Tire warmer

I'm not sure where you got your info on the 'Hawk being rated to 220 MPH, but if anything, I would say.....220 KPH....which is like 136 MPH. Tomahawk's are total junk and I wouldn't just walk away from them.........I'd run like hell!! YMMV!
  10. Here ya go..............http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=59918
  11. Come on, someone you know needs a great trackbike...............Weekend BTT!
  12. We would like to make it up there this year, but it looks like if we do, it might be as late as the Oct. 3rd, 4th weekend. Right now we've got April....Nashville May.....Little T June....Road Atlanta July.....Barber Aug.....????? Aug......MotoGP at Indy Sept....Little T Oct......Bluegrass?? Nov.....Tally again????
  13. Almost everything on it is safety wired, including the springs between the exhaust manifold and midpipe and muffler. Would that make a difference if you bought it or not? If so, hell, I'll even safety wire the ignition key to the bike so that you can't lose it!!!
  14. BTT for a price reduction............$140 including shipping to the lower 48
  15. Sorry Rich.........the whole deal was kind of a whirlwind thing. This past Saturday I bought Peggy an '04 600RR that has no title and will now become her track bike. So, my first thought was to get this one sold and re-coup some money.....as my savings acct is groaning really loudly in the last couple of weeks.
  16. Sorry, gotta have the cash. I just got rid of a pit bike, so I don't need another one. I also just bought an '04 600RR trackbike, so I need to get the cash out of this one and put some money back into the bank!
  17. This is posted on other forums so it is subject to being sold there also. I have an Autocom........Eurocom with two headsets that is in good working condition. The microphone part of both units has just had the "refresher foam" applied to it, as well as the speakers in both units. I need to get $150 ($155 if paying by paypal), plus actual shipping cost. PM if you are interested. I do have one other person that is interested, but haven't heard anything for certain as of Sunday evening. Thanks
  18. That is one of the reasons that I've got it priced like it is......No Title. I did get a bill of sale for it when I bought it and since it is a track only bike, it really doesn't matter to me.
  19. Josh, I would really appreciate it if you did. It seems that when I sold Peggy's F4 last year it came from someone on your local board. Thanks
  20. I have an 02 GSX-R 750, and it’s got to go. I bought it 3 or 4 weeks ago with hopes that it would fit my wife, who does trackdays with me. I was able to lower it some with the ride height adjuster on the rear Penske, but it still wasn't enough for her to be able to get her feet down. Then the reach up to the clipons was way too far for her to get comfortable with, so I am going to sell it and try to find her another 600RR like she rides on the street. THIS BIKE COMES WITH A BILL OF SALE ONLY...........NO TITLE So about the bike: 02 GSXR 750 Very reliable SS motor (originally tuned by Huff Daddy) Ohlin front suspension (by Thermosman) Ohlin steering damper Penske triple on the rear Woodcraft 2 piece clip-ons Vortex adjustable rearsets New EK chain (used once since putting it on) Bridgestone tires BT002 (approx. 75 to 80%) Extras: Extra brake and/or clutch levers Assorted rear sprockets Brand new counter sprocket (16 tooth, never been used) An assortment of brake pads (Veserah pads used during endurance rounds on another bike, and other brand new pads Pricing is $2500 with the spare parts included in the price. Contact me via PM or leave a message on my cell phone 618-531-0508 Bike is located in the Knoxville, TN area (Maryville, TN) 37801
