  1. May I ask what bike did you find to make you happier? Nice bike!!
  2. I understand you don't have the time to ride, but is it to cold to ride, when does your riding season end in Alaska? Sorry about you needing to sell the Bird.
  3. This is a FYI post. This is not my bike. http://dallas.craigslist.org/mcy/420205502.html $5000 or best offer
  4. I have never seen this comment section. Are you going to texxt? I haven't done anything to the bike, it still runs good!! How is your doing?

  5. Pricing is here. Look through this site the have a nice electric air pump. Has anyone seen this plug gun for fixing a flat? http://www.bestrestproducts.com/celestia/products/dynabeads/
  6. Not to defend them, but I read that if you don't have enough beads the tire will not balance. No more cupping of the front tire is a nice thought!! I sure wouldn't want to be the first to try this, but interesting info, and concept!!!
  7. Wheel weights have been around for many years, but are no longer the only solution for trucks, commercial vehicles and motorcycles. We want you to get the highest possible tire mileage by using our products. The way we do this is by offering a Dynamic Balancing Solution, a high-density ceramic bead that, when easily installed, continuously balances your tires as you drive. The amount of material will distribute itself in weight and position dependent on the balance requirements of the individual tire. The result is a smooth, vibration-free ride, derived from our balancing media that is always repositioning itself as the tire wears. If you own a pickup truck, commercial truck, motorhome, RV, tractor trailer, motorcycle, or similar vehicle, and want to get rid of those wheel vibration and tire cupping problems, then you need to move up to Dyna Beads®! For motorcycles they claim........ You simply won't believe the ride... Glass smooth ride, every time, all the time. Dramatically longer tire life No rebalancing No spoke or rim weights Eliminates tire cupping. Easy to install Your motorcycle dealer won't want to do it the old way once he's tried Dyna Beads! See your sizing chart here. http://www.innovativebalancing.com/?gclid=...CFTyKOAodwlf8EA
  8. Does anyone have pictures of the spools installed, I have been thinking about the pit bull stands and they are expensive. What about the tripple tree add on lift option? Is it worth it? Does anyone have the best price for the pit bull or another brand of stands?
  9. I just went to Hondas premixed 50/50 water/antifreeze in my 2003 Bird with 9200 miles on it. Yes it cost more money but I think it was worth the improved cooling in the summer heat. The old fluid was 4 years old, and just wasn't cooling as well as it had been. The 4 to 8 degree reduction in heat makes it more comfortable on my ankles and legs. You need to just change the fluids, I think it will make a difference. Riding in 100 degree weather is a pain in the ass, when stuck in traffic. I wouldn't mind trying the water wetter product, next time.
  10. Justin what size is your XR? Are you street legal? May I ask how much for the motard setup? Cool!
  11. Walt is there anything to this putting a CBR wheel on your bike with modification. I found this under Thumpertalk Forum Quote: Originally Posted by martinfan30 very nice! cbr wheels bolt right up??? The front (which i have not done yet...still looking for a wheel) just needs the castings knocked back to the face of the bearing, then sleeves to step the 20mm bearing down to the 17mm xr shaft. These sleeves can be integrated into spacers as well. Then figure out a mounting bracket for the caliper. I need to get the rear wheel refinished, lots of nicks on it. I'll do that this winter, same time as the wheel mod, provided i can find and F3 wheel, they look better because the disc mounting flange is much smaller than an F2, since you only use a single sided rotor on the xr. 12. I had about 70 miles on the tank of gas, when the FI light came on. I still have about 2 1/2 gal. of gas in the tank when I got home. I ran 75 MPH for about 40 miles home the FI light never went out.
  13. Doug is still on vacation, I think he will be back by next weekend.
  14. I made a 40 mile trip & I stopped for 5 minutes the FI light came on coming out of the parking lot. I needed to beat the rain. The power was down some but made it home. I let the bike sit up for 5 minutes the FI light is working correctly. WTF happened, any ideas. The bike runs fine now. The bike is a 2003 with 9000 miles.
  15. The pictures will help give you a better understanding for your Bird! I did the pictures and never got around to posting this. http://good-times.webshots.com/album/552301736cWmKak
  16. I haven't been riding enough to keep the battery charged. Please recommend a multi use charger. I have a 2amp/10amp car charger, I just don't want to cook the cycle battery. Will a 2amp charger be to much if left on for about 2 hours. Is this to much amp charging for a Honda OEM Battery? Is a trickle charger, the way to maintain your battery, and what brand and model of charger?
  17. PM Warchild he is the man with the connections in England I think.
  18. Jay, is the kill switch set up for track days? What else do they require in modifications to run at the track?
  19. James, please take a high resolution picture and post it. Second Look Designs is in the process of making a full tank covers for the CBR1100XX Blackbirds. The sizing is on Wednesday Aug 16th. I don't have a cost, yet, but Second Look is giving us a 25% discount. The same discount on 1/2 Tank Bras and seat skins. Our group buy should be starting soon. Thanks, Carl
  20. Bandit, I would like to hear how you correct this problem, I have a 03 bird also. I'm no help at all. Post some pictures high res. and see what the guys in the know, can come up with!
  21. Tom do you have pictures of you Mototeck with the Pyramid Hugger? Is you Mototeck 1 or 2 version ? Please post some pics.
  22. Porter, I like the results on the Varibars, I am interested in the adjustments. The Russel Hoses are nice, do they give that much better feel on the brakes? You put lots of effort in, to get things right. I want to see them a Texxt. Your Bird looks great!!
  23. Scot did this tire sidewall the cause of your rider down situation for you? Are you doing OK now?
