    Camera Mounts

Okay, I am looking for a camera mount that I can use either on my digicam or maybe even my video camera. I want cheap!!! What do you use, what do you have? Probably will be used more for a still cam than a videocam. Rick
  3. Will you share with me if you find one? You bet, I figure, surely someone around here has one. What about Stretch? ANyone know if stretch is running a PCII? He has the same pipes, I am getting.
  4. Well I knew I could do it either way for performance or economy, but, I am wanting something middle of the road. I still want to boost the performance, and I guess if I have to loose a little economy, so I can smoke my ZZR buddy, then I guess it is worth it  . Surely someone around here has a map they can email me for TBR slip-ons, and PCII. What about the K&N? What is that gonna do to me? I know I can run the pipes by themselves, but am under the understanding that if I do a K&N that I NEED a PCII to get back closer to stoichiometry on the bird. (I love that word)
  5. Okay, I just picked up a set of TBR CF slip ons for my XX. Should be here by the end of the week. Now, I know I won't really gain any substantial performance with them alone. I also am thinking of picking up a PCII to go with it. Now, with one or both of these mods, what should I expect for performance if any? Also, I would like to increase my fuel economy slightly. To well, above 40MPG. I would like to get 200miles/tank. I have heard with the TBR, I will lose my low end, but gain a ton of top end, also have heard that the PCII, will kill my fuel economy. So what say ye experts of the bird that is black? Oh yeah! Also, what if I add a K&N to the above mod(s)?
  6. In my experience with these, I have found the the phrase 'you get what you pay for' really comes into effect. If you have the coin to drop Snap-on used to make one that was pretty sweet, and fooking powerful!! It would really GIT 'R DUN!!
  7. Yup, normal. It is vibrations from the bike (I know that is hard to believe). The foam is so hard that just like pegs, bars, etc, it transfers vibes, right up to your arse!

    Pipe Prices

Well, I went to the local dealer and in there Tucker-Rockey catalog they still have the Yosh dual oval aluminuminuminum slip ons. The price he quoted me was $460. Anyone know where online might still have them and maybe cheaper? I am still not convinced I want to or can spend that much $$$ just for a set of pipes. Rick
  9. Well one problem I have run into is the the standar oval yosh's have been disontinued,so then y ou are looking at CF or Ti. I am looking for something VERY inexpensive.
  10. Okay, I am really really wanting a set of slip ons for the bird. I found Venom slip ons for $325+shipping. And called to order them, and they are out of them. So, what are my options? I know there are tons of pipes out there, but what I am wanting is something with a nice sound, dual slip ons, and I don't have alot of cash to spend on them. D&Ds are out of the question. I would love the Yosh's, but I don't know that I can afford them either. Anyone have any tips? I am also not above buying used. Rick
  11. ANyone heard them or have them? I know Jimmystratup has them, and loves them, and it looks like I may very well be picking up a set this week, if I can get them ordered. I geuss my biggest concern is the volume. Of course the standard questions, quality, fit, finish. What ya got?
  12. Stickers across the bottome of your lower fairing. How tall are the letters? I am looking at picking up a set. I saw these on Ebay, and thought they would look pretty good on my Ti bird. What do you think? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-CARBO...1QQcmdZViewItem
  13. Here is how NOT to do it. http://www.cbr600f4.com/secondary_pages/seajay.html Oh yeah, um the pics ARE kinda graphic.

    PCII

Man you will do anything for a free meal won't you? I bet you'll like Bad Brads. Are you mapping your route to Pawhuska yet? I am DEFINITLY in for Bad Brad's!
  15. I have the same one that Roadgear sells, just not their brand. Locally, if you catch them on sale once a year, you can get them for $8 Cdn. So what is that about $.75 US? Shouldn't you be busy patching up that Corbin of yours? :moon:  Patch, um what patch, um I mean what hole, um yeah, um I gotta go!!! LOL

    PCII

At Mega, you had mentioned getting rid of those cans, cause they were a little too loud for you. What happened to that? When are we gonna meet for lunch?
  18. Actually me and my neighbor (rides a ZZR12) were thinking about trying these things. but aren't they really hot during the summer?
  19. Thanks Rich, you were one person I was really wanting to hear from on this. As far as the sore ass, it isn't my ass so much as it is my hips. So I think I am gonna try to make it to the Local HD dealer, and pick up some buell pegs.
  20. That is kinda what I am thinking here before to long, I will send it back to Rick and have hime make it fit me.
  21. I have, and use a throttle lock, and a throttle rocker, and I occasionally do stand up, sit up, move around, and will let my legs dangle behind me.
  22. I find the XX pretty comfy for me. But not incredibly, and I know it should be. I took a trip this weekend, and it totalled somewheres around 750 miles. 300 there 300 back and 150 while there. The 300 there and back, my hips started really hurting me. and on the way back I got a terribly painful ache in my right leg. I am not sure if I need to lower the pegs or what. Next is my lower back gets really tired from holding myself up/fighting the wind, not sure which. Which then leads to my neck, shoulders, palms getting sore. I am looking into picking up a airblade DB. I may not have my posture correct or something. I have a Rick Mayer Saddle that is not built specifically for me, BUT is 100 million times more comfy than the corbin I have. As far as mods, I have a ZG DB, and heli bars, and the seat. I am planning on TRYING an SS1K in the fall with a friend, but I have to get to where I am completely comfy on the XX.

    XX Fuel Mileage

I forgot to mention the gentleman I spoke with has a 2000 identical to mine, but MUCH dirtier! So I am trying to figure out how he is getting that kind of mileage with an FI bird.

    XX Fuel Mileage

 So I am thinking, if I do add the PCII and have it dyno tuned, it may help some, but not tons. And yes I did notice yours is carbed, and mine is FI.
