  1. Hey gang. Time/money and employment considerations are pushing me into giving up my track bike. I would really like to get another XX for the street since my wife wants to ride with my again now that our kid has grown up some.

Bike is for sale up on Ebay, but I thought maybe somebody would like to swap. This bike really is awesome, and I take care of my stuff.

  2. RC8?

    :icon_twisted:

LOL.. that was the first question I asked... but no.

The 990 Super Duke might end up under my tree though.

KTM has always had too many letters in their models. I'll ask around out here, riding season is just starting. Do you have a line on anyone who will ship?

What do you expect from Europeans.

I'd try uship.com, always worked pretty good for me, cheap.

  4. Hey guys, my company owns a KTM dealer that's struggling with inventory pretty bad. My company wants me to buy some from him 20% under cost just to get them out of his store. He's got a huge variety of models, and they are all brand new units. I dont really want to do it, so I'll be happy to pass them out to my friends here at cost. If you have an interest in a new KTM, let me know - I've got your hook up!!!

  5. So I've been altering/making changes to my stores website. I've now added the ability to sell parts over the internet, allowing people to shop out of my catalogs right from my site.

I know a lot of you are loyal to your local dealer, which is cool. And some folks here have ordered from me before, which is cooler. Oh, and use coupon code CBR1100XX for a special across the board discount.

EDIT- UPDATED TO MY NEW STORE/WEBSITE.

  6. So I just took this 2006 Charger on trade for a Victory Hammer S. The car is a Hemi, color is a lightblue/grey color. odometer is 57k. Car has every option excluding the Nav. Does have leather interior and woodgrain/stainless, heated seats, CD + MP3, power sunroof and more. Also has some sort of programmer and stainless cat back - sounds sweet. I have $15250 in the car which is about where my wholesale guys will buy it, I just need my money back out of it. This is a REALLY nice car if someone is in the market.

  7. 2006 Blue and Yellow CBR1000RR. A good customer of mine bought this bike in June 2007 at another dealer, but when he got it home his wife thre the ultimate fir and gave him 24 hours to get rid of it. I purchased the bike from him at a huge loss (to him) but the darn thing has sat. I got a call from my corporate headquarters saying wholesale it Tuesday or write the bike off entirely (which screws my stores profit for the month). Need to unload fast, and willing sell wholesale if someone wants it.

Again its a 2006 Blue/Yellow CBR1000RR, 44 original miles. Some Honda warranty left. Bike is like new. I'd need to hear from someone quick if they want it, and it must be paid for by Febuary 29.

    Link.

NADA retail is $9100. This is a good deal for somebody.

  8. Where are you guys finding aftermarket rotors for our bikes that are cheaper? The OEM ones are like $250-300 a piece, and the Galfer wave rotors (only ones I can find) are nearly the same price! If I could find some cheaper aftermarket ones, I'd buy them

When I bent one of mine in early '06, cheapest I could find OEM was around $280, IIRC. Indysuperbikes.com has Braking wave rotors for $226 each, or they did last I checked.

You'd have to buy the other rotor if you went aftermarket.. and unless you're a seriously agressive rider I say just kid another OEM and be done with it.

I still dont understand how shops bend rotors changing tires. I've worked in shops for 17 years and never seen it.

  9. Since I work for a dealership near a college town, I have seen several parts from them. All of the parts are shipped without any paint on them and you will have to prepare them for painting. You will need to shave for the piece to fit your bike. I have not seen one yet that did not have to be shaved. According to the company, if you shave the piece in any manner you will not be able to return it. While they have a lot of business, it seems strange to me for the piece to not fit without shaving it. Also, some of the pieces cannot be shaved at all. I spoke to a student who had to ship a part back 7 times before they sent him the right part and he was having to pay for the shipping both ways.

I would say in their defense that their forte is bodywork for the track, not OEM fitment.

Exactly... they really are top notch for race plastic.

  10. Full exhausts, not slip-ons? I think it won't work... :(

Basically just need a baffle-less slip-on and K&N map. I think the K&N part is fairly unimportant, from looking at the maps on powercommander.com. They seem to hinge on the exhaust type and have: with stock or after-market air filter in the notes.

Would like to get one for now. It's winter, not a lot of riding. Save up for a dyno run, especially with the -1 sprocket that will change the speed to RPM ratio.

Gearing wont matter. Engine still makes the same HP at each RPM no matter what gearing its driving.

  11. My 1999 Bird just clicked 33333 miles, and as if on cue, I developed a couple issues.

My fuel gauge became erratic, then died completely. The next day, I drove to work, stopped at a stop and rob for breakfast. I turned the bike back on, lot lights and everything, but would not start. I pushed started it fine, but my speedo was all over the place.

I've dealt with regulator rectifier issues on other bikes, and this seems like the same thing, but it may just be a battery. What's the word on the rectifiers on these bikes, good / bad / what? Anything else I should check?

  12. She has two new Diablos on her, and works good. Little cold hear yesterday, but I had to hurt my friends feelings... he peels hard into a long off ramp to the right on his 636 thinking he has it going on... And I pass him with my knee skimming on the Bird...

    Thanks for everything D.

Pics of the wife (black lingerie included) to follow (if I can convince her... lol)
