Isn't this opposite? Larger front on a road bicycle means harder to push since more drag due to more wheel friction. You go a greater distance per revolution. So would that not equate to greater torque with same rpm?

Here is another sweet deal. This one seems to have been used (but not too much at 12k miles or1k per year), well maintained and cheaper than the NY bike.

+1, rolled my eyes when he said he was going to offer a grand less. There is a nut ball out here asking $6950 for a similar 03 XX and will likely eventually get it.

Yeah that is my biggest concern. But that leaves me with two options. I got some 20% tint I could use or move it below cluster like mike suggested. Time will only tell.
I have what appears to be the same voltmeter as you except mine is red and I used the front parking light as my connection point so as to avoid running wires across the whole length of the bike. I think the reading is slightly more accurate from the rear brake light, but since I am only focusing on the delta, the front connection works for me. By testing the different connections before I formally tapped onto the wires, I noted the front parking light is 1 volt lower than directly reading the battery. That is for engine off, engine at idle and engine revs to about 3k. When I run the bike the readings run up to 13.4 sometimes 13.5 which mean the actual battery reading would be 14.4-14.5, irrespective of whether I am at 3k to 7k rpm, which I think signifies the r/r is working fine (i.e. no spikes).
The brightness is a bit much, since the numbers are fairly large, but not too bad. I rode the bike last night and it is not distracting. I also placed it on top of the dash with Velcro for now. Thought about the tint too. The red does match my rpm gauge at night, albeit much brighter.

Still has the stock seat. Yep, that's an Iron-Butt rider for sure.
I've done the Bun Burner 1500 on the stock seat. I've had a Sargent, and a Corbin Gunfighter. Stock seat is better.
Stock wasn't better than my Corbin G&L, but I didn't order "off the shelf". Ordered it from the Corbin trailer at Laguna Seca with some subtle mods. Only took 3 months to get it.
Vrodguy has it now.
I bought my GF/L from Vrodguy back in 2012. Did he buy yours recently and I have his older one or are you saying that I have some special order GF/L seat?

Sorry guys. I have not been checking the board. Still have it but decided to keep it. Picked up the smuggler for solo rides and use the GF/L when riding with my son and recently my wife joined me for a ride after years of refusing to hop back on.
I do not have the backrest.

Condition is okay. One very small tear on the inside edge which was there when I purchased from PO. Don't even notice it but will try to snap a shot and post. There is no back rest with this seat but they are available on Ebay for generic ones that fit with Corbins.

I think we are on the same page, but just looking at it differently. We agree that you go farther with each revolution of the larger front spoke. We agree that it takes more effort for turning that larger spoke one revolution (legs or pistons, as you say). I described it as more friction since tires will be in contact with road for a longer distance with the same mass per revolution. Perhaps friction is not technically the correct term, but maybe it is. I dunno. You opined that the larger front spoke equates to faster speed. I would agree if the power turning the spoke at the same rpm as the smaller OEM spoke is present. The question I was raising is why does Roadrash indicate you get out of corners "like a mofo" I.e faster with the smaller front spoke?
I often get confused with these descriptions since it does not make sense to me given the discussions above. I do realize that smaller front spoke is easier to turn so therefore with constant force, getting to higher rev ranges is faster and thus peak torque can be achieved sooner. Is this why smaller front spoke = faster speed?
Next confusing topic: why over square engine (i.e. bigger bore than stroke) works for sport bikes (eg get to higher revs faster) and longer stroke bikes (eg twins) work for low end torque for cruisers? Engineers, feel free to chime in.
