  1. I got a buddy that is looking for a cruiser. He wants to spend around 5K. The only cruiser I ever had was a Vmax. Other than that it's been XX's and ZX11's for the most part. Anyone have any certain bikes they like?

  2. I would like to polish the outside lip of my rims and leave the center inserts (Spokes) black. Does anyone know of a good stripper that will work well in removing the paint or powder coat from the stock wheels?

  3. Byrd, I don't know you or your bike like most of these guys seem to, but I have to say I am THOROUGHLY impressed. That is a keeper if I have ever ran across one. Very nicely put together and thought out!!! Nice job!!

Sure you wanna let it go?????? Search all options before selling!!!

  4. What To Look Out For....

People in front of you. A quick twist of the throttle and they seem to get closer to you very quickly...

You'll definitely enjoy the bike. I had a ZX-11 before my XX. I liked the ZX a lot, don't get me wrong, but the XX is a nicer bike. It's a 99, first year for FI, and has very smooth power. I ended up going with the Scorpion exhaust for it. I recommend it for sure. Great sound. Some other mods I have done, Zero Gravity DB windscreen, White faced indiglo gauges, integrated taillight, and HID headlight.

  5. I would use the electronic flasher. You can use any bulbs you want with it, no splicing of wires, unplug one, plug in the new. Done. I have an integrated on my XX with an electronic flasher and it works great.

  6. Thanks for all the replies guys. That helps. I was thinking of gearing down a bit. I was going to go up 1-2 teeth on the rear, and leave the 17 front the same. Maybe I'll stay stock though, considering a Dbl X really has no acceleration problems to begin with :D

  7. I agree. You definitely do not need no 10 or 12" extension. Even 8....I had a Suzuki RF900 that I did some headwork to, cams, carbs, and dynoed. I did a 3" extension, and could do NOTHING to get the front end up. It was plenty for sure.
