  1. Dang, just picked up several Butler Creek mags. Never used the speed loaders before.... Do you just turn the knob, and do the rounds have to be from a certain manufacturer and packaged a certain way? (Thinking CCI brand ammo.)

So far it has worked with Federals, CCI, and Remington (cheapos). And yes you just dump in 50 or so in the tray, hook the mag up and twist the knob while shaking the tray. It auto lines them up as you shake it, the knob forces the rounds into the mags. Pretty neat.

  2. Sold

    I am selling 4 25 round magazines for a Ruger 10/22 rifle.

3 Butler Creek and 1 Eaton 25 round magazines, work flawlessly without jams.

Also included is a Butler Creek loader. This speeds the loading of the mags to a few of seconds.

I have no need for these, as I tricked my 10/22 out with a new trigger/mag release group that only accepts 10 round mags to be compliant with competition.

Email for more info. I have $190 invested in this setup and they have been used about a dozen times each. $100 shipped conus.

    Thanks for looking :icon_twisted:

  3. Migs..I still love those pipes. Would it be wrong to spend my family summer vacation money to get a second bird? This bike is so worth the money with those wheels and all the extras. You will regret it, unless you have another bird on the hook. This bike sold me when you let me ride it before I got mine.

Yeah I remember you taking off with an "I don't know" look on your face, then returning with an "I can't wait to but one!" look. Good times!

Well it is sold! Sold it to a feller that lost his Bird to an 18 wheeler on the freeway :icon_eek: He was okay, and happy to be in the saddle of a new one!

Thanks for looking fellers....I'll still be crashing the meets. Not crashing AT the meets, but, well....you know :icon_shhh:

  4. Uh, what would that offer you? If you had your "low beams" on during the day, you'd burn the retinas out of everyone in front of you. That just wouldn't be

I've only got one HID right now. It's in the top, with the low connected (as per normal operation). So I've got my HID on all the time. It's been 3 years with no problem.

so having the HID in the top socket but connected to the "low" switch is less blinding than the HID in the bottom socket and connected to the "low" switch??

    Yes.

The top socket IS the low beam.

The bottom socket IS the high beam.

No matter how you have the wiring behind the bulbs.....if the bottom light is on.....you are blinding people :icon_cool::icon_razz:

  5. I went from stock to helis to stock to genmars and back to stock.

I love stock, for the riding position mostly though. I am not an overly aggressive rider, but I know the stock position is best *for me* to perform the best in the twisties. Don't do much highway riding, I have done a couple of 1000 mile and 1 1500 IBA. I had stock clip ons on all but the 1500 and really missed the stockers.

IMO, you will be happy with the stock riding position, especially if you've tried all those shields. I am also 6'1 and ride with an Airblade double bubble. My wrists don't hurt.

  6. I remember someone a while back bypassing the switch on the other end of the wiring loom.......

I'll do some digging around and see if I can find it for you. There was another guy on here a bit ago that liked to launch with the bike leaned over on the sidestand. I know you said don't ask....so I didn't :icon_whistle:
