  1. Marty, Im on the verge of ordering a DID ZVM2 chain and front and steel rear AFAM sprockets and the motion pro chain tool from White Buffalo Racing in CA.Im having it sent to sister in law in Syracuse N.Y. and going to pick up the stuff on my way down to NEXXT and then bring it back The total cost is 306 CDN shipped to Syracuse, I think that is a pretty good deal only because I can have it shipped to an American address, no tax no customs duty etc, as far as the tires go, this Aprril Wheelsport in Ottawa had a fantastic deal on tires I got a rear Pilot road for 172$Cdn taxes in(40-50% off) . If they have the sale next year and any birds need tires I will go to Ottawa and get them, I may need a front by that time or just have it on hand for when I need it. Im going to put the rear on for NEXXT. Have you thought about your route yet, ? Kingston, What day are you leaving? By the way Honda dealer here quoted me Front sprocket-54$ Rear-102$ chain-170.99$Im still way ahead of the game from White Buffalo. BBB
  2. Thanks for the info, because there are alot of #'s on those tires, BBB
  3. SlyDVL, Im in Kingston Ont, and last june I had no trouble getting the updated(2 dot) from the stealer and they knew about the new # it came up in their computer BBB
  4. Just a quick question, a local(Ottawa) shop has a great deal on tires 50%off but I dont want a tire that has been sitting in a warehouse for 4 yrs or whatever. Is there a date of manufacture on the P.R. , is there something stamped on the sidewall of the tire?? By the way that was a great thread on the mysterious loose chain!!! Thanks BBB
  5. also 1/2 bottle of Seafoam BBB
  6. make that 300KM not 3300, no iron butt for me!!!! BBB
  7. Just did my last ride of the season(3300 KM ) 2000xx with Micron slip-ons 271 KM low fuel light NOT on, over 40 m/p/g, it can be done as long as you keep it below 150km/hr most of the time, speed on this bike is intoxicating!!!!! and dont be a squid. BBB
  8. That would be an Imperial gallon which is bigger than a US gal. BBB
  9. Just did a gas usage check on the bike. 2000 with KN filter ,stock exhaust and with these prices!!!!! For my Canadian and the world friends(except U.S.) 6.8l/100km, for US friends and alot of Canadians too, 42mi/gal That was rather consevative driving, nothing over 8000 revs and not over 200km/hr, and mainly backroad riding , very little slab and very little stop and go. Im getting Micron slip-ons this week , so it will be interesting to compare . BBB

  12. Up here its about time to put it away, last week while I was getting the safety insp, on my 2000bb(passed with flying colours) the fellow at the shop mentioned I should look into getting the throttle bodies synced??.for about 100$, I went home and perused my shop manual and found no mention of throttle body sync but there is the starter valve sync, there is no mention of maintanance schedule fore this , is it necessary or is the guy at the shop yanking me,,another question ,this is my first fi bike and wondered about winter storage, besides the obvious, oil and filter change ,top up with fuel and stabilizer, wash, wax and cover and put on center stand. How about fogging the intakes? or any other thing anyone can think of??
