  1. I'm posting this up here for a dear friend who's got more courage, energy, and attitude than I could ever hope to have!

Special bike that was rode like the wind by a special guy.

email or message me if you have any questions, or better yet - just call Richie.

Handicapped motorcycle for sale. 2004 Yamaha R1 This bike is set up for handicapped motorcyclist and will be sold only as such and I will be very selective with who the bike is sold to. Bike is set up with electric power wheels to enable the rider to stay stable and be launched and stopped when wheels are in the down position. The bike also has an electric shifter that works spot on. I have put 3000 miles on the bike with Multiple Sclerosis with the kit and being the original owner the bike has 20,262 miles and over 30 years experience on two wheels I will say this bike is set up perfectly for the job. Bike specs 168 RWH Pingel electric shifter braided brake lines GYT 1mm cams GYT air filter Graves variable velocity stacks Graves block off plates Two Brothers Exhaust system Solo Tail Cover. Tires in very good condition with 3000 miles on them and bike is in incredible condition. Some #'s the kit was $1200 shifter was $750 cam's alone were $1000 let alone all the professional work to build the bike. Average price for a 04 R1 in top shape is $5800 to $6300 depending on where you look and with this bike being a 10 on the scale. Asking price is $6200 Call Rich @ 978-335-5864 no emails

  2. I LOVE my carb'ed 98, and I loved my previous 97. I've ridden a few FI bikes and I don't like the throttle response as much as carb motors -

But, what I want to know is why everyone else's bike wants to wheelie, but mine doesn't? Are you guys talking about clutching the front wheel up, or a roll on wheelie? I can clutch mine up, but it definately does not roll-on wheelie. My old ZRXs and Z1000 would easily loft the wheel just by snapping the throttle... :icon_rolleyes:

  3. I disagree... How much do they weigh? I can send you a shipper and pay the freight.

Let me know how that would work and they are yours. My main problem is my

health is so poor that the physical act of boxing them will be difficult. I'm not sure

my wife can do it, but maybe I can find a friend who would be willing to come over

and take care of it. Getting them to the UPS depot will also be an issue. Maybe you

can queue a UPS pick up at my house?

PM details and we can see if we can work it out.

    Thanks.

Sorry Keith- I wish I was closer so I could help. I didn't realize that it would be difficult. I hope you get better soon.

    Pickup of these is pending.

    Thanks.

    This is good news.

  4. I have the muffler set off my 2003 Blackbird that were replaced with a pair of Yoshis.

The buyer of my bike didn't want them. The right can is in perfect shape; the left has

some scratches from a zero speed drop.

These are free to anyone who can pick them up at my house in the Sierra Nevada

foothills about an hour east of Stockton. They're much too big and heavy to ship. If

no one wants them, they are going to the recycling dump.

I disagree... How much do they weigh? I can send you a shipper and pay the freight.

  5. If it works on a Concours, I'll take it. You do the research. :icon_twisted:

Don't blame me if it makes your bike go too fast... I bet the tires will burn off.

How about this... I send it to you - you try it. If it doesn't fit - then you sell it and send me the money. It's almost too easy.

I sold my Conc years ago along with my pipe and slippers. I don't think anyone around here would let me touch theirs without giving them some lithium. :icon_evilgrin:
