  1. DAMN, DBLXX came out of nowhere! I better get on the ball!
  2. My Friday weigh in: I lost a WHOPPING 1.2 Lbs. I DID however manage an impressive 4% bodyfat loss! May take a while for the pounds to catch up, but I'm sure alot leaner!
  3. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow's AM weigh in

    House Settling

yeah, the steel pole thing is an easy enough fix. If you have settling like that in just 3 years, you'll probably want to put them in pretty soon and start keepin an eye for any other signs. It helps to run a level string line from wall to wall in the basement and measure to the joist in question. Then you just find the lowest point, insert support there, and lift until the joist is level. I'd start with 1, maybe 2 depending on the severity. IF you continue to have problems add more, equally spaced. Remember, if you go from 1 to more supports, don't remove the first until the load is supported by the others. The sudden drop can wreak havok on your doors closing upstairs.
  5. My official weigh in: 6:00am the 20th I weighed 237.6 naked (not a pretty sight) 6:00am the 24th I weighed 230 with PJ pants. Woo-F'n-Hoo 7.6 lbs down in a week. Next week will be tougher as my weight approaches my goal.
  6. never a problem with them after NUMEROUS orders. They treated my $30 orders just like my $1200 orders
  7. In a car, I've done it a hundred times, but in a bike.....I don't think I would risk it with the wet clutch. JMHO
  8. DEFINITELY use WWF (welded wire fabric) and if you feel like spending the coin, get the added fiberglass hairs in the crete. Be sure to get a higher slump to give you time to work and saw-cutting your expansion joints will prevent the expansion from cracking in places other than the middle of your slab. You're going to want experienced help finishing it, but it doesn't take long to get the hang of it.
  9. doesn't sound like that would be a hot area, but doesn't that area get alot of leaves and dirt & crap? I had mine up on the fender well (94' Impala) and it overheated driving about 1.5hrs highway. any ignition issue will show at RPM not after time/distance unless your headers are cooking your plugs/wires. Assuming you have a good fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter, the fuel pump is prone to overheating if you drive around alot on 1/4 tank or so.
  10. you can move it, Just make sure it's in a dry/clean spot. I see alot of firewall installs, but shorty's will cook it
  11. OH, are they shorty headers or longtubes?
  12. unlikely the cap/rotor. LT1's behave differently when the distributor goes out (I've replaced 4). I've had the same problem, turned out to be excessive heat killing my MSD box. Does it have a bypass where you can unplug it and re-attach your factory harness? might try that and duplicate the scenario. More than likely it's not your fuel pump unless you had less than a 1/4 tank.
  13. I just went with some cheapo flushmounts
  14. I'm actually considering this if I can get some high mount mid pipes at a reasonable price. Thanks for the info on the ceramic wool though
  15. This topic may spawn a forum topic later, HOWEVER, I guess nobody's modified their slip ons? Where can I get Erion pipe packing?
  16. If hindle's mid pipes didn't cost an arm/leg i'd use those and cut a few inches off my erions, i'm sure that's make them louder.
  17. Here's the kicker I failed to mention: He's a local cop! Figures :?
  18. I thought about that, just sticking some chrome exhaust tips on the header and calling it good!
  19. I have a neighbor that likes to take his kawasaki Vulcan mean streak with drag pipes out for a ride around the block a few nights a week at about 10:30. All of a sudden I don't care how loud my slip ons are. I have the newer style Erion's; how can I go about making them louder? IIRC, tighter packing means more volume and looser packing means less volume, right? Where can I get some new packing? Should I just get some D&D's and switch back and forth between them and my erions?
  20. I know some people have used a product called "nite shades" or something like that. Works good on tail lights and what not, so I guess it would work on the windscreen.
  21. It's supposed to be great for the skin. I know some people that use it instead of baby oil. on their babies, people, sheesh!
  22. Seen similar problems in cars and it was the fuel pump overheating. In-Tank fuel pump cool themselves in the fuel so if the gas is low... The fact that it happens in the rain makes it sound more like ignition. LT-1's have the distributor in the bottom front of the motor and if it got water in a crack mine would idle erratically then stumble and die. Good plug wires/boots?
  23. I got my ZG DB (and alot of other stuff) from kneedraggers.com; they haven't let me down yet. I usually check here before buying anything new...http://www.cbr1100xxforums.org/forum/viewf...wforum.php?f=11
  24. I bought a set of the 714 pro grips and a nep throttle lock. Good communication, fast shipping. Can't complain.
