  1. Randy, Thanks for the pics, sweet set-up. First time I experienced sat. radio was when I was riding in Chad's truck in Vegas. I keep meaning to have it installed in my truck.
  2. BE ADVISED, per Randy, don't pull in the clutch lever while changing the front sprocket. I can't remember why he said not to, but I totally trusted him as he stated it added hours to the job. Changing the front sprocket took me about 30 mikes.............
  3. That is SO true. Count me good for one, if under 5 bills and an easy install!
  4. Finally progress in the civil mediation hearing. Congrats! Sounds like Rodney King's wish might just come true.
  5. Jim, You ARE baaaackkkk!! Hope all is well?? Tim
  6. I too, have heard Mototek put better bulbs in their new undertails.....let me know how bright they are. If you are interested I have the info on the hyperbright ones I installed.
  7. Wish I could have read his post................too bad he edited it out.
  8. Yep, Mine came with LED's, some made in China cheap-ass ones. I replaced them.............as they weren't bright enough for my liking.
  9. The only real way to figure out if you have enough stock fender to mount to is place the Mototek against it when it arrives. My guess is you will have to still cut more off of your stock fender! I trimmed mine over and over again until it was nearly gone, then the Mototek fit. If you need any help, Randy has some pictures, and I'm more than willing to take pictures of mine with the painted tail section removed, (I have to fix a brake light anyway.)
  10. I was just offered a free 190. Came off a buddy's GSXR1000, the set of Michelins only have 300 miles on them. Would free make dealing with the 190 worth while?
  11. I use Honda polish to scrub the bugs off my leather jacket!
  12. Pretty nice looking brake lights, (with integrated amber signals), wonder if they would work with the Mototek?
  13. My guess is he didn't write you because you raised a doubt in his mind as to what the speed limit was on that particular stretch of road. Sadly enough cops don't know the speed limits posted on most roads. They don't usually obey them while on-duty, (responding to calls), or while off-duty, as they "think" they are above the law. Sounds to me like your polite, respectful, and convincing argument paid off. Good job. I know what was going through the officer's brain because I've made the same mistake he did, ONCE!! You can bet he won't make the same mistake again. If two on board, quite likely a training, FTO car.
  14. Funny, I was going to ask about the sprocket sizes being run! The other night I was "indicating" 180, with a dropped front sprocket or a really 155............. However, I must say I like the R1 rear tail, sets the bike apart from the crowd. But, based on your prior comments, you may have accidently set yourself apart from the crowd. Ease back on the verbal throttle and try to get to know us, you might just make a friend or two..........
  15. Nope, but sounds like a good idea. Justin was correct, bottom side of the cover.
  16. Sorry to ask the obvious, is it out of gas???
  17. Alan, I still have to figure out what is up with my oil leak from the left side engine case cover. Anyone had an oil leak from the alternator cover before???
  18. Randy, Did you go two-tone with the paint scheme, or is it just the lighting??
  19. Scott, I can vouch, Alan knows his XX jet kits. He did mine and a friend of mines; he is AWESOME!
  20. Dave there's a clip on the inside of the tail holding it, comes off with some patient wiggles, a flat head screw driver helps if I recall. Randy simply laid the cable that connects to the lock mechanism out the left side vent on the tail. After Randy told me how he did his, I did the same thing. I found a simple Zip tie around the cable kept it from moving too much. As for security, I doubt many "common thieves" would think to look there. On my Super Hawk, which doesn't have an undertail, I relocated the lock right underneath the passenger seat, directly above the tire. Relocating the lock requires drilling a hole, some filing, and cutting a notch. Good luck.
  21. Nice write-up. Currently I have the ZG Double Bubble; which is nearly impossible to tuck behind. My SST arrived last week, I plan on installing it on the next rainey day I'm not working.
  22. Justin, You've got a get out of jail free pass with me................just watch out for the WSP boys. Most of the Troopers in the South Sound are pretty good guys/gals....................most!
  23. Thanks for the input. Actually I believe the fairing scrapings were caused by performing low speed "U" turns while leaning the bike, and looking over my shoulder. Mith, thanks for your faith in my riding ability...............
