  1. My previous sets were plug and play as Flitemedic noted. However, these were a little different. Eric, I just took mine off my bike, took it apart and took pictures. The spring doesn't make any difference. The small, brass colored pin aligns on the end of the clutch plunger. (You just need to make sure to line it all up.) Uploading pics now. However, my printer/reader has been acting up. The
  2. Betweem D&D pipes and Migs I've never heard my CCT. If I do, I have an X-11 waiting in a drawer.
  3. Nice work on the weight loss Steve. The past few weeks I've gotten as low as 168, back at about 170. Heaviest ever was 205.

    Crash Shrooms

Yep, don't crash. In your line of work you should know that one!
  5. Doing burnouts 15 feet from the main entrance to the Reno Hilton at 3:00 am didn't help my tire either.
  6. Got a ticket running 100+ on that wasted tire too! (When I asked the CHP to write me for defective tire or defective exhaust he shook his head NO and kept writing).
  7. After HookersXX I rode from Portland to Seattle on this wear bar, you should be fine.
  8. Thanks! Cool link, the guy's shop is about 5 miles from my house.
  9. Since we are asking, I need a service manual for a 1997 Ford F-350 with a 7.3 Powerstroke diesel. Local shops don't have them. Maybe they are also on-line?
  10. I used red Permatex, you can buy it in a tube just about anywhere. If I recall the red is rated to a higher heat value than the blue. I used it for both.
  11. Front wheels are different from carb bikes to FI bikes. 97-98 fuel tanks do not fit FI bikes. All body work can interchange, though the FI bikes do not have the mesh on the intakes under the headlamp. This the kind of stuff you had in mind?
  12. Haven't heard of them. What can't you fix on the bird?
  13. I don't pee on Honda motorcycles. Been known to piss on a Harley though.
  14. Thought you'd get a better response in your own thread. Manny said: "Thanks guys for the support. Yesterday I got a tire shipment from Ron Ayers. I am trying a harder compound. The Road Tech Metzler Z6 so far (95 miles tonight) seem to stick plenty good. I broke in the tires and chain and then I did some low to medium speed twistys and a couple charges to 160mph out on the highway. No apparent slipage with the exception of getting really light over rises. My last tires were the Sport tech and before that the Michelin Pilots. We are real hard on tires out here. I want to see if I can get more miles out of this set. We have tons of pot holes not to mention man hole covers that have blown off during heavy rain. Keeps you alert. During this tire change I did my first sprocket/chain change.(21,000mi) Original sprockets still look good. From Parts 411.com I got a ZR Regina(chain and both sprockets) combo kit for $180. Ron Ayers was $200 for both tires. Here they want $240 for just the rear tire. Anyway I was looking for any reports on the Z6. Let me know your experience with these tires if any. I was appauled when I pulled off the sprocket cover. I never seen so much gook. The original front sprocket has rubber, I think, on both sides. Reginas did not. So far I can't tell a difference other than how damn smooth the bike is with a fresh set of tires ,sprockets and chain. I was down for a month before this change and I am refucking amazed with this bike. Oh ya, I found out why there are so many Hayabusas here in PR. They were cheaper than our Honda!!! But still many of these guys spend a fortune on customising the 1300. Lots of chrome, custom wheels, paint and more. Also I noticed my dampners behind the rear sprocket are showing some cracks and general wear. How long do you all get out of them? "
  15. I have the MIGS, and have to agree with Tim, the Hindle system does seem superior. Pretty sure I remembered reading the French owned company, MIG, went out of business.
  16. Nice tutorial. Love the construction work orange gear.
  17. I like the stick of the Dunlop 208's but they don't last for shit. Then again, I should do fewer burnouts too.
  18. Nice to see a Puerto Rican on the forum. My mom and her Catholic siblings are from the island. I've been there a couple times, stick around, you'll like this place. Plus, if you learn to turn off the all caps, the other members will love reading your stuff.
  19. Feels like that has already been done!
  20. Has anyone replaced their HID bulb yet? If so, how much was it? Reason I ask is some idiot pulled the wires out of the back of the bulb while taking off the upper. The idiot then pushed the wires back into the holes and the HID still worked. Not sure if the same idiot could take apart the bulb and solder it back together or should just buy a replacment bulb. The idiot shall remain nameless.

I replaced the LED's in my Mototek with some pretty expensive one made by LED Tronics Inc. LED Tronics I paid about $50/side, which is insane, but they are so bright they are hard to look at.
  22. Board member, JasonW has made some decals for me in the past, which were top notch. Look him up, I'm sure he could make some.
