Federal park ranger.  At least, that's the only way I've heard it.  I was hiking with a friend's daughter and we both wanted a challenging climb, so we did a hill and came out in a place marked no entry.  But going in was unmarked.  I tried to be respectful and she went on a long tirade about "you people" and shit, so I started laughing and talking shit.  I never paid it and they said I had a federal warrant but it never happened as far as I could find.  She put a bunch of my info down wrong, because she was so spitting mad I guess.

This is also how I ended up on the back side of Ruger's ranch in Prescott, with the Jeep, which to me, was far more concerning.  They never put signs in places where they think nobody would ever make it.

Oh, Federal Park Rangers...I have stories about those clowns. I called them "Mr. Green Jeans", but Squirrel Cop makes sense too.

Funny, Mike talked about Ruger being headquartered in Prescott....I had no idea.

A friend of mine from Kansas to the THP Trooper at the Dragon: "$218 speeding ticket?  Fuck, that's a bargain for as much as I got in yesterday, today, and not even counting what I'm gonna do tomorrow!

My friend was a local deputy and used to ride with us. We got pulled over by a Washington State Trooper. When the Trooper told him, "Sir, I had you on radar at 90 plus miles per hour." My buddy shouted, "That is BULLSHIT, I was going at least 100MPH!!"

Fortunately this Trooper was cool and let us off with a warning..

Probably a topic for another post, but I also fondly recall getting pulled over with Cal, Jeff, Joe and others when we were coming back from an XX meet in Bend, Oregon...Pretty sure I was leading us all passing on a double yellow....LOL. One of them said later, "I was just going to let Tim talk to the cop..."

I would think for protection I rather carry a gun and work practical use I rather probably want to carry a multi tool knife.

As Carlos advised it is a tool. Constantly in use, cutting boxes open, strings off things, zip ties off stuff. Convenient clipped to a pocket. I also carry a firearm, but a knife serves a slight purposes as a back up fighting tool if shit got that bad.

I keep a multi tool in the truck and SUVs for the reasons you mentioned.

Other than Chinesium. I bought one at a similar price point and it was aggravating. Things like the fuel inlet line being clocked 180 degrees the wrong direction and it leaking. Probably depends how much rice the kid got a lunch.  I eventually shit canned it and rebuilt my OEM one for the CT110. I have heard of people being happy with the Re-Pro ones....

I have some, pretty magical.  The rust spots are 3D though, meaning you can feel them.  I *think* that stuff will not fix that?  Do you know?  I guess it's worth a try, can't make it worse.

It will work, (depending how 3D) but will wear your thumb out. I like to put a screwdriver behind it to get leverage and work it in small tight spirals. My primary thumb was screwed back together after an incident where a black female pepper sprayed me and I broke my hand and a lot of her face fighting through it to get her in cuffs. YMMV.

GPZ, CX650 Turbo, and Suzuki Rotary interest me as well.

I have owned two CX650s over the years at different times over the years. Lusted after the idea of finding a CX650 Turbo. Oddly, the CX650 felt very cramped and I am not tall at 5'09".

Nice find with the Yamaha. I might buy some Never Dull wading cloth and work on a corner of a fender. I used it to bring back rusted wheels on a 1986 CT110.  Although yours looks pretty rough. Doing a Re-Chrome plating is no where near the $50 end of the spectrum you threw out. I looked into it once...

A very tiny pinch of salt is pretty important for oats and other grains.

Curious, why is this? I assumed for taste, but does it have something to do with breaking down the fibers and making it soft? I usually forget the pinch of salt. Mainly because my wife uses pink Himalayan salt from Trader Joe's in a grinder, which doesn't lend itself to "pinching". 🤒

I have bought and sold gun items and I/they requested USPS money orders. You can only buy $1k per money order so, it's a little hassle.

Never heard of any disputes over USPS money orders. Federal forgery or fraud with the US Postmaster is a big deal. I never had any doubts.

Seems like a common way people want guns paid for when purchased online to be shipped. I’ve complied in the past, but it is a headache to stand in line at the post office to buy an $800 money order only to have to send the money via snail mail.  Bought a few Sigs that way on Sig Forum.

  9. I can confirm Zelle is secure and can't be reversed. Bad if you are dumb and get scammed into sending funds via Zelle. No recourse to back the transaction out.

I sold my Harley a while back and accepted payment via Venmo. It was not ideal, and I did my research on the buyers. (When I asked Carlos and Oscar about Venmo they both cringed. LOL). The buyer of the Harley was a nurse and her husband worked Security for the State and we had a mutual acquaintance. So I rolled with it...was only $5500 and I was able to see the funds hit my account when they made the transfer via Venmo.

I took $12K cash out of the bank to buy a Jeep last week.  Bank Tellers quizzing me pretty hard why I needed so much money.🙄  When I let them know the seller wanted cash they relented and advised, "There have been a lot of counterfeit Cashier's Checks going around lately."
