  1. Sorry I meant Metzler Sportec
  2. I have being using the Michelin Sportec front and rear. I Love them, have gone through about 6 rears and 3 fronts so far. The mileage is not high but the grip in dry and rain is great. Very stable at all speeds, well at least to 295 kph ( as per spedometer before I get flamed to death) Brian
  3. I put an Ohlins on my 2000 bird, the rear end sits higher. I have now noticed that the chain seems to bang more agianst the runners up and down at lower revs. I never noticed it at first because I always wear ear plugs. Driving around town yesterday with nu plugs it was making a lot of noise. I have checked the chain and there is about 1 inch of slack which I understand is roughly where it should be. I tightened it up more and it is quieter but didn't think this was such a good idea. Any comments or suggestions? Brian

    Air Filters

I am another Canadian dealing in Klicks not miles. Just had my valves adjusted at 40000 kms, the tech at DPE Racing (Woodbridge, Ont) said they were in great shape, didn't really need them done, one shim was changed but could have been left alone. I also changed the steering bearings( did racetech valves reb. and comp. so did the bearings, didn't need to be done either he said). Second set of plugs at 40000 kms, they needed to be done. As for the K&N air filter really haven't noticed any difference. Biggest and most valuable change I have done yet is the Ohlins rear shock. Like having a new bike. BTW Dynoed at 138.5 and 80.1. Numbers seem good for a 4 year old with 40clicks. Brian
