  1. Bump. I'm surprized that some of you big boys haven't jumped on this great jacket.
  2. I just bought this jacket on e-bay. Here's the original ad. Hello, up for auction is a used but Like New condition Men's CSV2 Vanson Red & Black Perforated Leather Summer Motorcycle Jacket Size 52. Vanson (Made in the USA) top quality motorcycle leathers are made from quality hides, bomb proof stitching, mega metal zippers. These are built to last a lifetime. This jacket is the answer to summer riding comfort and protecting your skin at the same time. Looks great with your Red Ducati or Black Harley. The best way to check your fit is to go to a local dealer and try on the different sizes. Vanson's sizing tends to run a bit odd. I usually wear a size 44-46 and I bought a size 52. I like my jackets with a bit of extra room. If you want a regular /more snug fit then this would work very well for a normal size 46-48. I'm 6'2" weigh 215lbs. if that helps. The other way to do this is to lay out your favorite jacket and compare the measurements. This jacket measures 27" from armpit seam to armpit when laid flat. The shoulders measure 22" from shoulder seam to shoulder seam when laid flat. From the seam of the collar to the bottom of the jacket measures 27". The sleeves are 26" from the shoulder seam to the cuff. This is the real deal motorcycle jacket with double layers of leather at the impact areas, zip cuffs to seal tight, full jacket perforated leather(see close-up pics), 2 inside pockets, Armour compatible, can zip to pants, snap tabs for a Vanson vest/liner, adjustable waist, plus a credit card/cash pocket in front zip flap for easy access at fuel stops and toll booths. In the summer I wear it with a cotton shirt underneath and I have protection plus ventilation and you don't get your cotton shirt slapping like silly when you are doing 105 mph on your favorite back road. Nothing rides like leather and summer was always a problem until I got this jacket. Now it's a breeze. Do the Buy-It-Now Option and I will include free Vanson Armour for the Shoulders and Elbows + A Brand New Vanson Back Protector with Soft and Hard Shell Armour + Free Shipping (in the USA). With the Two Color option and all the Armour this jacket would retail around $700...you can get it for a whole lot less than that and get Free Shipping by doing the Buy It Now option. Treat yourself to a Like New Quality Cycling Jacket I normally wear a size 50, it's a little too big for me and I need to sell it. I just want to get what I paid for it, so I'd like to get $390 shipped to your door.
  3. Whiner. Mine are awesome.........now. It took a little work but not that the issues have been sorted out, they are great. I'm glad you got yours sorted out. I just didn't have the patience or the inclination to fuck around with Matsu and his bullshit. I'm not sure that Josh would agree that the Caro's are "awesome" since his rear wheel failed while he was riding, but WTF do I know.
  4. I might be offended if I gave a shit about your opinion or thought you were anything but a self important, egomaniacal twit. Thankfully, I don't.
  5. I change mine. I have a No-Mar tire changer. I also use their balancer.
  6. I have am OEM shock with about 15k miles too. Let me know if you're interested.
  7. If you will take my advice, RUN, do not walk away from Carrozzeria wheels. They are beautiful, but the engineering, quality and customer service is seriously lacking. If you want aftermarket wheels, put a few more bucks together and get a set of Marchesini's or equivalent.
  8. I have a harness for a '99-'00 model. Let me know if you're interested. I can send a pic of the harness with the part number.
  9. I have a set of OEM rotors (F&R) off of my 2000XX. There's nothing wrong with them, I just replaced them with a set of Galfers for bling. Pm me if you're interested.
  10. Have you checked your ECU for fault codes? The light can flicker sometimes when there's a stored code. There's a procedure in the manual.
  11. You should ask the Federal Czar of motorcycle brake issues. If he(she) doesn't exist yet, please take no independent action. I'm sure there will be an appointment to that post in the next several days. Obama is protecting us and helping with all aspects of our lives. There may even be some Federal stimulus money that will help with the problem. :icon_nana:
  12. I've got enough yard work to keep him busy for months.
  13. I agree. I'll offer $500 since it is in the slow yellow color.

    Cornering Speed

Should I steer or counter steer? Is there a cutoff at a particular speed that you change your methods.... or do you go for what feels natural to you based on the situation and the enviroment? (Or should I just buy the books others have suggested?) If you're going much faster than walking speed and you turn your motorcycle, you are counter steering whether you realize it or not. That's how bikes turn. Honestly, I tend to do what feels natural for the environment and the situation. Buy a good book on the subject. Good information from a reliable source is always helpful.
  15. I have one if I can find it in the attic. I'll try to dig it out this weekend.

    Cornering Speed

Look where you want to go. Get your ass off the seat (toward the inside of the turn). Turn the handle on the right. Simple.
  17. I couldn't agree more about David. He's a great guy to business with.
  18. I know it was a tough decision to sell something you've put so much time and effort into. I know I had to think long and hard about selling my XX and yours is a lot more customized. Good luck with the sale.
  19. Sorry about that. I hope you can find another one soon.
  20. The bike is sold to a good home. Evan and his wife just left with the bike in back of their truck. It's snowing like crazy today, so loading the bike was interesting.
  21. Thanks Carl. Are you going to make it to OzarXX this year? I'm looking forward to some more of that deer camp dish you make.
  22. Thanks Josh. BTW, isn't your XX inventory getting low? This little beauty would sure look good in your garage.
  23. That looks like a nice track bike, but I don't have the time for it either. Thanks anyway.
  24. Where there's a will, there's a way if you are interested. Let me know. As John says, NC should be an easy ride from OK. It would let you get familiar with your new bike. Thanks,
