  1. I'm a huge fan of the Pilot Powers front and rear. Great for track days and pretty good life expectancy for everyday riding.
  2. I'll post pics tonight. I might could sell them for scrap. Hate to just throw them away but they are in the way.
  3. I have a set of stock cans that have had the 6 holes in the end punched out. They look stock from the outside. Make offer PLUS shipping. Can post pics if needed. They go in the trash this time next week if no one buys them. SOLD
  4. Greta pics!! Isn't there internal ribs inside the swingarm and if so, did you hit any of the ribs? Looks like my next project. Thanks again for the pics and instructions By the way, what brand of turn signals are on those Blackbirds? I like the looks of those.
  5. I'd like to add spools to my Blackbird too. I'd like to know exactly where to drill and tap. I want to drill and tap once on both sides just once :icon_think: Any way we could get a measurement or something more definate to go by? Oh and ..Please and thank you
  6. What about using the small aluminum fuel canisters that hikers/backpackers use to store/carry their stove and lantern fuel in made by MSR. They are made out of aluminum and have an O ring sealed screw in cap. They also come in various sizes, some would be just right for a tail bag. Plus they ARE MADE FOR fuel. Not sure I'd trust PVC with glued on ends, but thats just me I've seen them at Bass Pro and Cabelas but any hiking or camping store should have them. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...0004000_350-4-4 Small, yeah, but they would be safer and you can always carry more than one.
  7. Be careful when you remove the engine mounting bolts, there is a spacer between the frame and engine that WILL disappear without you seeing it. I lost one and had to make a spacer out of washers. I use frame sliders from here; http://www.motovationusa.com/ and I'm happy with them. So far I haven't tried them out but they seem like well made sliders. Just be sure to use a dab of Locktite on the new slider bolts when you reinstall them. Yep, those are the ones I have.
  8. VERY impressed with this HID kit. EASY installation and nice WHITE light. I have a Super White zenon bulb for my HB that is VERY white compared to the stock bulbs and this HID light is a lot whiter than it is. I pretty much don't need the HB anymore. It fills in a spot on the ground just in front of the bike. Best $35 I've spent in a long time. Now I need to get a set for my wife's FZR 1000. Thanks Jason!!
  9. Where can one find this Audiovox CCS100 ? The guys at Auto Zone looked at me like a tree full of owles when I asked if they had such an animal. And how much do they cost?
  10. Yeah it's a great bike, I'm so busy with my offroad racing it just sits there, so I figured I will let someone else enjoy it... You ride yours much? I haven't seen another around here... Not much around here, mostly do track days and ride the mountains in NC and TN. I've seen a few BB's around here. One in Castlewoods and a couple in Madison. I used to ride mine a lot around here but all of my riding friends have moved away or sold their bikes. Do you ride at Mark Lowery's place off of 468?
  11. I wonder :icon_think: if any of the electrical gurus on here could come up with something, maybe a capacitor set up or something to help cut down on the flickering at low RPM. Something to give the HID set up a reserve to store power to compensate for the lower power output at low rpms or while other farkles are being used taking away precious voltage needed to run the HIDs. Just a thought. Maybe the better mousetrap theory :icon_think: Or is the flickering not that big a deal?
  12. Nice clean installation Justin. Probably where I'll mount mine also.
  13. I got mine from Bike Bandit. No problems with ordering or shipping. Got them in like 2 days after ordering.
  14. How much of it was plug and play to install? Never installed one of these, just curious.
  15. Did you have to do any mods to get the HID bulb to fit the stock socket? Is it a plug and play system or how much mod was it to installing it? Is this the one you got? http://cgi.ebay.com/HID-Xenon-Conversion-K...1QQcmdZViewItem
  16. Wish I had the $$$. I live in Brandon and could use another BB. Bump for a nice bike.
  17. I liked it there too. I stayed in one of their 'efficiences' and we put 3 guys in it for $80/night. Good deal. I like parking the bikes right outside my room. Makes me feel good. Plus, i hate walking through lobbies and waiting for elevators. Yeah, we stay in one of the efficiences when we stay there. It's nice to have the option to cook in your room if need be.
  18. I ordered the stick on LED strips. They are very BRIGHT!! I'll see if I can find the part number for what I ordered.
  19. You can go to the Topoco Lodge (lodge on the left going to Deals Gap) and get stuff to drink. Great ride from Robbinsville to Topoco and back too.
  20. My order was shipped VERY fast. I ordered 2, one inch amber LED strips to add turn signals to my mirrors and a 2 inch white strip to use as my tag light. All LEDs work great. Cheap prices too!!
