  1. The mounting part of the rotors are SS on the 97 - 98.

I don't think the powder coating places use 350°F temps do they?

I thought it was a process at around 250°F?

  2. Does anybody know if they can be seperated??

The carrier or section that mounts to the wheel and the section where the brake pads grab??

I have a cool powder coating idea, but i don't know if they can be seperated or not.

IF NOT, can they withstand the temp that they bake on the powder coating with???

  3. I think the one i just got for mine was a Diehard???

BUT, it was a lil' taller then the one that was in and had to remove the two rubber pieces from the bottom of the battery box.

The number that was on my battery wasn't in their book for any year XX, which i found was weird and looked very short.

  4. From the place i talked to about the clear powdercoat over top polished aluminum will work, but the powder coat gets into the metal and after a while, it starts turning a light grey and starts taking away from the polish.

Suppossedly House of Color make a clear that won't turn yellow.

  5. Mine cuts out every now and again, but it's only for real brief moments, unless i'm in a densly populated area.

I have my antenna velcroed to the top of the tail, how much more open can it be??

Does anybody know if they make one of those short rubber antennas for the XM radio???

  6. What a difference in ride position!!!!

    Feels awesome!!!

Just had to cut off each tab by the resivor lines and unhook the clutch line where it is fastened to the frame below the triple and on the throttle side had to remove the brake line from it's retainer at the bottom of the triple.

Oh, i also ground some aluninum away on the throttle side where the brake sensor hook up is below the res to fit better.

Can't wait to take them on a long one.

I didn't do pics before and after becasue i was too excited to get them on.

  7. I was going to order a set yesterday, but one of their people talked me out of them.

    Kinda weird?

I told her they were going into my motorcycle.

She asked if i drive a lot.

    I said yes.

She told me i wouldn't recommend getting them because they don't last long, but are great lights.

She said if i drive a lot, they would probably only last a year.

    I opted not to buy.
