  1. Damn, they match my sons leathers exactly. Except for the size,

I wear anywhere between a 10 and 11...these fit perfectly.  Width is good too and I usually wear a 3E width.

They aren't stretched out at all.... I believe I wore them maybe 5 times and definitely less than a few hours and a few hundred miles.

  2. Is this a harley? Perfectly normal and keep riding or pushing..

    If a blackbird,  not normal.

Remember reading about the oil line in the front of the bike chrome 1/4" tube getting a pin hole in it and spraying on exhaust.

  3. Icepicks bike had zx1400 forks and wheels. Got to ride it for a bit after NeXXt14. I enjoyed it a lot. Brake upgrades were nice and he had a set of dan moto bars on it making it very comfy.

  4. Just ride it till the wheels fall off.

110 link, 530 size, KY lube all good.

As mentioned above the front oem was rubber dampened. The XX is so smooth and quite that you hear stuff normally drowned out by mechanical noises, wind, screaming...

Enjoy the trip Phil, we need to catch up one day. Drink some good beer, have a good cigar and enjoy the moment.

  5. The XX forks are seriously easy to pull down and work on. Do my own every couple years and like using 7.5 oil.

Did find out that honda was cheap in the amount of oil they put in from factory. According to the manual and doing it by height I imagine honda shorted me an ounce or so in each fork.

  6. Build check dams with large #3 size stone also called surge material or gabion size stone.

between every 50 to 100 foots depending on grade and volume of water they will see. If high volumes of water 100 GPM I would reinforce with Class I rip rap. Will catch sticks and other debris and require checking or cleaning every 6 months to a year on average. Slowing of water will also help prevent erosion which left unattended will find the weakest link in your culvert pipe and wash out the pipe and your driveway.

I have built many, maintained miles upon miles of proper water drainage meeting all DEQ and DMME requirements.

That is the proper way to handle water that is free flowing, slow it down and divert it correctly.

  7. Just had an issue with my sons sena,

I updated his before racerxx, we get there and nothing. Wont turn on and shows fully charged. So we couldbt use them at all.

Once back home, took it apart and checked battery directly and indicated that it is indeed good.

Back together, tried again and nothing, did resets still nothing. Attached to my laptop and still, yep nothing worked.

Finally get it to be recognized, after updating Sena app, then Sena recommends removal of their latest update.

Hit the button and it fired up no problems at all. All fixed

  8. Wifes car is make rear diff noises. Did a recommend fluid change with additive and not helped. So off to the dealer for them to fix/replace a known issue it seems from various forums.

1st dealer denied ever hearing about it, don't know what is causing it.

2nd dealer, yes pretty common issue, no problem. Setting up a time to drop it off next week.

  9. Yep, chain was about due for replacement and rear sprocket was vortex aluminum. I had ordered a new chain to replace it but when I pulled the rear wheel off I did a double take at the excessive amount of wear to the sprocket.

Just rolled wheel to side, cut off old chain and ordered new sprockets. Oh well, guess the chain was stretched more than I thought..

Got a few more items to go over on my track bike, new tires and stator on my sons track bike and oil changes to be ready for Racerxx 2020.

  10. Anything strange could have happened to cause its failure. Seen lots of brand new items break or fail soon after put into service or arrive defective.

Just installed new chain and sprockets on my track bike today, amazing how strong they are from the demands we put on them. As shown with the wear on my vortex rear sprocket. Aluminum and done after two track days as expected. Got it for 1/2 price so no big loss. Replaced with a steel this time just to avoid replacing again so quickly. I am not worthy enough to notice the difference of rotational mass.

  11. Depends on my area of riding, this is all on 87 ethanol fuel.

Motorcycle trip with a buddy, 51mpg stock gearing, saddlebags, tail bag and my 240lb butt.

Then also done 100 miles and had gauge blinking after a few strolls through the favorite mountain roads in 2nd gear.

  12. His bike is a 2002 zx7R and indeed have cooper ngk plugs in it.

Cooper ngk plugs went back in also. $3 each.

Maybe he should read the manual

  13. Quick search on kawi website had

check/gap or replace 7,500/15,000/24,000/30,000 and add 6,000 for all mileage above 30,000

    damn..
