normal running mine stays just above the lower line on the cool side but i noticed today that it got just a tad over halfway toward the hot side when i was at a redlight, but i was only at the light for a couple of minutes, was just wandering if it was normal and when should i start worrying about how high is too high

what should the temp gauge read during normal operation on a 97 bird!!! c------h

How many miles you got on your Leo's?
Like I said mine got 25k miles on them and they just keep getting better sounding.
I do like your carbon Leo's on your blue bird.. They pretty..
i just got my bike back from the local speed shop, having my carbs built and tuned, and all of the sudden the leo vince are screaming!!!! amazing what a good carb guy can do!!!!!!!

i guess since i started this thread i should post that i have the leo vince carbon fiber slip ons!! i like them alot but i am looking for something with a little more scream to them, but keep the same look that i have going on now, alot of people keep telling me yoshi's,but i have'nt heard enough of them on 1100xx to decide exactly the sound i am looking for! is there any place to hear sample sounds of different exhaust on a particular bike? these damn slip ons are too damn exspensive to keep buying and trying!!!!!!!! if any one is intrested, maybe some trading around or something?????

i have owned a few bikes in the past, and also have a harley in the garage, but i have never really had to work on any of them, i just bought this bird just a couple of months ago and i am having trouble with the battery going dead after about an hour or so of riding, not a mechanic but mechanically inclined, i am assuming either the stator or the rectifier is fried, is there an easy way to figure out what exactly it is before i dump a but load of money on shit i dont need?????? any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
newbie to this forum and love the site, alot of helpful info!!!!

Yosh Zyclone for me. I just like a little extra sound on a touring bike.
And I'll vote for that blue being fucking gorgeous! Is that a Canada bike?
thanks silverbird, not a canada bike! i haven't had this one very long and i bought it because of the color, its awesome up close as well!!!!!! i am having issues with the battery not staying charged though, put a new one in it and its still not charging, maybe a topic for different thread
