  1. It turned out to be a fuse - should I be concerned that the dash fuse blew? going to go carry a few 10 amp fuse's with me
  2. Im going to start with the starter switch - when I first started the bike the head light flickered for a few moments before staying on, I know that I had the problem with the switch in the past when the head light would not work. thanks
  3. On my ride home tonight, dash quit working - clock is the only thing on the dash that works 2002 CBR 1100XX Runs good, and I have PC and head light is still working Advise on where to start looking?
  4. Looks like the JOB will have me in Denver often so I thought if I could find a bird that was a real deal I would leave a bike in the mile high

    Sprockets

    I run an 18 - still pulls HARD! Mileage if I am slabbing it I can get 42 mpg but normal riding Im getting 32 - 34 mpg Riding in the mountains 2 up I'll get 25 I have not tried a 16 but dont think I need the extra pull, but like they said cheap experiment between the 16 and 18

  9. With the crappy fuel now with ethenol, we are trying to use "regular" fuel but build the octane level - if that makes any sense?

Lets see; Head has been shaved with a superbike valve grind and epoxy - Power Commander and Ignition Modulator - Full Akrapovic Exhaust Tune to run on shitty 92 pump with ethenol - working on a solution with Amsoil fuel supplement to run on regular 89 and the supplement which is projected to be rated at 100
  11. You know after over 55,000 miles this thing sure runs strong! Had the XX run on the Dyno today and really like the guy running the it, he discussed a few inexpensive tweaks that could be done to help in the future. But here is the print out from the day Dyno_4_12.pdf
  12. All I will say is stay away from any VW beetle, nothing but electrical and transmission issues. but they sure are cute...

I Will look for resent dyno sheet and post that as well All for $5800 This is one that was done prior to asking tuner to lower the top end and give more mid range grunt!
  16. Ron Ayers online is the cheapest new tank to be had, of course you can find some on ebay. Be aware that Honda has reduced the import of many (blackbird tanks) to the US, so when you find one if new you better snatch it up. I am curious why do you need a new tank?
  17. I currently have Pirelli Angels on the bird, nice tire but take for ever to warm up. When I start rides I am always amazed at how long they take to warm up, they dont track for shit but after 50 or so miles they start get some grip. They are the first tire on the bird that for the most part the front tire chicken strips are GONE! non of the other tires have come close having the confidence to push the front like that. I have about 3500 miles on the tires, good bit of mix riding with about 1300 miles of slabing on them. I would expect 5K before Its time for a change, not sure I will get them again. Worst tire Dunlup Qualifiers maybe 2500 miles.

  22. Well It might be time to part ways with my 02, has around 55K miles on it. This is not a show bike, it is a bike to ride! I'm sure I have missed a few other items Oil Changed Religiously - Pre Ride Warm up Religiously: Started let idle til temp is 175 - 190, shut the bike down and let sit 15 min. prior to riding. Some have seen the bike, I will email pics if interested PM if you have any questions, I am trying to decide what to do with bike by mid May. $5K
