That is a smokin' deal. Wish you were closer.
Ditto!

Where are you located?

Hi All,
My friend Cheryl, Have2BeFree, is looking to move up to a newer machine. Her current ride is a 2005 Yamaha FZ6 with about 29k miles on it. She put on all but 4k of it. She has done a track day (Louden) and a few long trips (to and from KY) by herself. She'd like something with more wind protection and smoother on the highway.
She has ridden a 2008 ZZR600, a 2004 VFR, and both of my ZX14s. While her dream bike is an F800ST or an NT700, due to no chain maintenance, non are in her price range at the moment.
Anyone on the board (preferably NorthEast area) have a clean VFR or perhaps an F4i they're thinking about selling?
Any recommendations on a bike for a shorter (5'3") rider would be appreciated.
Thanks!

That is sweet. Brings back alot of memories.

where's the bike located?
By looking at the license plate on the 99 Mustang Cobra, I think the bike is in Illinois.
-
wish this bike was a bit closer to NW Indiana.
Fly-N-Ride!

And the timing really sucks. I'll be looking to buy a lightweight supersport in a few months, but I can't do it just yet. :icon_wall:
Looking to add another bike to your stable, Dutch?
Or, will you be selling the VFR?

Actually, despite your wasted time, you should be amused.
He proves to you that he lacks knowledge of the bike. Also, he doesn't understand the value of time an money. He wasted "15 hours"? 5.5 one way = 11 hours round trip. Times that by 2 people is 22 hours. :icon_think:
Despite all that was "wrong" with the bike, he still offers you half of what you wanted hoping you'd agree with his knowledge in offer to make the sale.
You definitely got the lower part of the Craigslist bunch. People love to haggle. Hey, at least he took the time to come out. I do get a kick out of those who offer 1/3 to 1/2 of what you're asking...
-
Sorry to hear of the wasted time.
He knows nothing of the bike, you offer to prove it's in great shape after he says no, he still offers you 5k.
Hmmm... Craigslist or Walmart people?

Sold my 97XX with 83k miles on it and it ran beautifully.
I do wonder, whatever became of that bike after your accident, Skip? :icon_think:

Should have kept JJPXX's C-14!
Me too!
I am looking for one too but not buying quite yet... just shopping...

Nice bike and very detailed ad.
No price... free?

I'll be picking one up myself in the next couple of weeks. I've settled on a 2009 leftover, black, ABS. There's a dealer within 100 miles of me that has this bike for $9399,
I just need to man up and call them to negotiate the deal. I want it out the door for $10k.
I know that Troy City Garage is selling an ABS C14 for $9899. Where are you getting yours from?

Beautiful bike!
I had an 83 V65 Magna and an 84 700 Sabre. Bought them from the original owners back in the 90's.
Good thing / too bad that I have a one car garage with an old Lincoln and 2 motorcycles in there... :icon_think:

I have a set on my ZX-14. At first I thought it was weird as I bought it already setup on the bike.
After the 2.5 hour ride home, I was sold!
-
Sweet bike, Tim.
If I didn't have mine, I'd buy yours as it's very nicely setup up.
GLWS.
-
I still say this is a beautiful bike!
Whether or not the price is high, I say that a listed price is a lot better to deal with than an ad written with "accepting offers".

Dave,
I'll buy the Cortech GX.
Let me know how to pay and pick up.
