black black bird Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 Help i just bought the bird about a mon back fail to see that it had covered 176000 km in the last for years (99 model reg in 2000) now am thinking of overhauling the bike but the prob is te engine is still smooht and the bike still is very fast even against the new r1 on the straights . there is a FI prob that has been sorted out and a weak rear brake (is that normal?) or should i not do anything to the bike? P.S was also thinking of dumping in the new bb 1200 engine if it comes in this yr. Quote
XX4me Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 No need to do anything. Just change the oil and go ride. Quote
black black bird Posted February 2, 2004 Author Posted February 2, 2004 Thanks for the advice guys but dont u think that 176000 km is alot? Quote
86gn Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 The rear break tends to feel weak with Linked Brakes. Quote
birdie_xx Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 17600 km equals 11000 miles.... Some of us do that in a year  Don't worry, your bike should be fine. Change all the fluids if that makes you feel better, and check the tires, plugs, filter, brake pads, chain - all the regullar maintenance items...And have fun ! Cheers, Quote
Sk8boardIL Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 wasn't it 176,000km, which would be a lil' less than 110,000miles. I think that still shouldn't be too bad - it's a Honda Quote
RichardCranium Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 Hey guys...my bike also doesnt have anything wrong with it. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Quote
