I sent one of my XX injectors and 4 of the Honda S2000 injectors to Marren Fuel Injection (injector.com) and had them tested for flow rate at 43 psi fuel pressure. They tested static flow (wide open) and flow at 6 milliseconds on the S2000 injectors. On the XX injectors they just checked static flow.

The results are suprising. The XX injectors are considerably larger than I would have thought. Apparently the XX operates it's injectors at approximately 50% duty cycle under full throttle. Not a bad thing at all, it means that the XX stock can safely make lots more HP before a change in the fuel system is needed.

So the S2000 injectors have only marginally larger flow rate, and not necessary for anything but huge hp, turbo applications, right?

How does that flow rate work as far as hp numbers go? I used to know that formula, once upon a time...............

The XX having such a large injector is good news for people after more sane levels of HP.

As far as possibilities it seems to vary somewhat depending on who you ask.

The guy from Marren told me at 80% duty cycle I should be able to run 300 HP which is close to what the RC eng. sites calculator says. That means I could go higher by running a higher duty cycle but I'm trying for 300 HP so these should work good. I think to find out what the stocker is capable of just subtract 15% from 300HP and get 265 HP. When I dyno early next year I'll see if the real world works like the theory.

And that's all at the 43psi rail pressure indicated.

Upping the pressure will raise flow rates, and help atomization, too.
