sprack Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 From a start in 1st or 2nd gear theres a squeeking sound coming from the right side of the bike in the 1-3.5k rpm range. Is this related to the CCT noise? Quote
rca29 Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 From your description, i don't think so. I know that i will be corrected if i'm wrong, but CCT noise is more like a rattling noise that starts at 3500-4500 rpm. On my bike, i first noticed a sound that was more like a whistle and a few hundred miles after, it started to rattle. But it was always above the 3000 rpm range, and it doesn't matter what gear you're riding it. (you can hear it better at low speeds, as you don't have wind noise on your helmet, but the noise is always there). Quote
Hookman49 Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 My CCT was noisy like marbles in the case but only at idle. I don't think it is you CCT. Ken Quote
sprack Posted September 3, 2003 Author Posted September 3, 2003 I get the CCT noise too, from 3800-5k. This is noticable from a start to about 25mph. Same squeek frequency as a hamster wheel. Quote
N1K Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 I get the same squeak... Under the conditions you describe... Quote
speedjunky Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 So what does it mean and is it bad? Quote
